Well, you cant imagine him doing that because he is in a different class.

It was very fun Nadal did that, but do we really have to compare him to Federer? Federer is a superstar, in a whole different part of his life as well. Fed's done lots for tennis and the tennis community. So does Rafael Nadal. Why can't we just say it was fun to see Rafa there. Period. Just that.

Well damn this was going to so well, until that. Fed fans completely disregard he said that, it never happened.

Good for Nadal

Well said. And I think it's obvious that he would have liked to see Federer win that match, and not just because he's a fan of his... ;)

Not so sure if it was nice of Nadal, more likely he was just scouting his next round opponent. But in any case, you complimented Nadal, why criticize Fed in the process?

lol . . . good lord.

well, since they didn't end up meeting in the final, i guess the fed/rafa war has to start someplace in 2010.

nadal is nicer than fed is just as lame a place to start as any of the others . . . though you'd think after all these years we could think of something a little more clever here at tt.

fed/rafa war? Or do you mean 'fierce rivalry on court, friendly mutual respect off it'?
Ah I guess you mean fed/rafa ****war. Yeah that makes sense!

Ah, it's still more clever than certain attempts I've seen happening elsewhere. :p

Hope this esclates to countless posts and threads about Rafa/Fed, not like there aren't a billion ones already on TT!

Nadal is a poser. Inside the court he is a *****, and thats what matters. If you want to talk about nice persons, talk about the people that give his life to save someone else's life. A millionarie going to see a match is not nice to me.
In matches he is always doing things to take the psicological edge, some of them breaking the rules.

So that means there are no nice people alive, because they're all dead?:)

Anyways, both Nadal and Fed are very nice people, and both are as good a role model athlete as tennis, or any sport, could hope for. No one needs to mindlessly criticize either player.

What an ******* that Federer is, refusing to watch another match because he wants to take a shower and rest after his own.

Of course you remember the pix. You live and breath photos of Roger Federer :) That's a good thing by the way. Care to refind them? And would you know which match it was?

The funny bit is that aphex hates Nadal and is a Fed fan.:)

Hope he was sarcastic or I might get worried about him. Imagine that,Nadal being a nice guy...

Agree. Fed is too egoistic to do anything like that.

I dont 'live and breathe' them. They're pretty easy to find actually.I just do the job of posting some for those interested.I'm thinking it was Stan's match. Not entirely sure though.
edit-I'll try to refind them when I can.

Here's at least one occasion where he did: http://www.monstersandcritics.com/sport/tennis/article_1177446.php/Federer_switches_off_tennis_to_recharge_for_Wimbledon_second_week

ha! i said it was a nice thing to do...still don't like his on court antics!

i don't have any reason to assume nadal is not an ok guy off-court...
as i said, i just don't like his on-court behaviour.

no sarcasm though--i liked the fact that one grandmaster goes out there to watch
another grandmaster perform...that's all

Err... I think you will find that both Nadal and Federer give a great deal to unfortunate people who cannot help themselves . I would suggest they save a lot of peoples lives in that respect through the charities they are involved in. Please also remember how hard they have worked to earn this money in order to be in this position - tennis is a very hard sport. You are alone and have to deliver week after week - or else you get the critics telling you, you are past it - like some members on this board

With the beauty of Federer's strokes, Nadal cannot resist but sit as close as he can and applaud. Nadal wouldn't even sit and watch Nadal's game. He would boo himself for the delaying tactics, the gross habits and the mechanical game that has the smoothness of sandpaper.

Going to watch someone play is not a rare ocassion. Many players in the past went to see other matches after their own match is completed. Nadal is just another one of those player, so there's isn't much to brag about.
