This isn't anything to do with who you picking or share the one you would be on, but rather the one person who if they won would make this AO really special for you. Also give a reason why.

I'd like to see del potro win. Reasons: break the fedal hold at the top, give del potro confidence to be the next number one, inspiring story of coming back from injury...

Nadal, for THIS AO that is. For next year I want Roddick to win Wimbledon, Murray for AO and Djokovic for USO. Or JMDP for AO or USO.

I won't even start wishing on anyone for FO, we all know Nadal is going to get it, unless he drops dead tomorrow.

the guy who is owning Llodra right now would be nice to see win too, he seems promising

but def fed

If Raonic does win...I hope Canada goes Crazy but maybe when he matures to a better player! At least he got father than Gulbis!

Anyone but Nadal....I don't want to see the catstrophe of Nadal winning four in a row! Like Nadal but don't want him to win this one...he can win the next RG and Wimby!

Cilic. I would like to see another player from that age bracket breakthrough.

If not him Roddick. The guy deserves another slam even though it is pretty obvious he will never get it at this point.

If not them Nadal of course.

And if not any of those 3 Murray. Dont even like him but he deserves a slam if even Del Potro has one.

Not really, I would much rather him win the Calendar Slam than the Non Calendar Slam which I think is overrated anyway in the sense I dont consider it anywhere near the true Grand Slam (I am not going to change my stance on something I already held for years just because of who my favorites are). To me his winning 3 in a row including the biggest title on all 3 major surfaces is already remarkable, his winning 4 in a row would just be a slight further improvement on something that is already arguably the greatest feat for a man in decades, not a huge jump upwards from that unless it were going for the true Grand Slam. Anyway I want him to stay hungry for years to come.

I know, I've seen your posts around here, you're pretty objective :)

I personally wouldn't like 4 in a row since it's too much domination. I wanted Fed to win the FO but never really 4 in a row or CYGS, it just makes it a bit boring. If Fed had won 2006/07 FO, I would have wanted Nadal to win Wimby right after that.

Which is why I hope somebody can step up and beat Nadal here.

Rafa kept things interesting back then, and somebody needs to do it now, and the thing is I can't really see anyone who will be able to, especially not Fed after that display last night.

Yeah I love seeing Rafa win but it would be nice to see someone step up and challenge him, beat him in a match again. Preferably even someone other than Federer if at all possible. It keeps it more interesting, and I always like to see how he comes back from a bit of adversity. It is not like I am worried he wont win many more slams in the future either way IMHO. On the other hand it is always nice to see Nadal cement his place in history even more so I am happy etiher way. If I had a different mentality towards the non Calendar Slam I would probably be cheering for him to win harder, but I have never considered it close to equal to the true Grand Slam.

people need to stop arriving at conclusions after one match.

LOL fair enough. I'm usually an optimistic person!

But you gotta say, all of what Nadal fans have said about Fed (Bud, vero etc) is turning out to be right so far!

What have they said about Fed? I know vero is a bit skeptical about Fed's fitness in 5 set matches given his age and all, but i didnt read Bud and the rest saying anything. I've read more stuff about a rejuvenated Federer having a second spell of dominance...

Rafa, for the Rafa slam. If he can do this, he will have 5 slams on clay and 5 off clay. No one will be able to call him 1 dimensional!

Vamos! :)

I think Fed will be at a disadvantage in a 5 set final. But it's far from impossible. I wouldn't root for him, but I wouldn't put it past him.

Gotta go with Rafa on this one. He would have his own mini slam holding all 4 majors at the same time. Also then it would have been a full year since Federer would have won a slam and hopefully mark a bit of a changing of the guard.

It would be foolish to right Federer off in a 5 set final just because of his age.

The changing of the gaurd happened 3 years ago. Nadal has been the Worlds best player since 2008.

None of the Above..........TSONGA!!......of those obviously mostly higher ranked at the moment (due in large part to Tsonga's inability to stay healthy for a whole year!) I want another classic Nadal/Federer final and honestly tennis wins as a whole with that

I guess I'll be changing my pick to Marin Cilic.

Because he made the semis last year, I want someone new to break through and he's got the game.

I will pick Federer. He has to prove that despite his age, he can still win a Grand Slam in one of the worst surface for him. He own to himself.

I want Justine Bieber to win AO.

Wow Roger more popular here 35-13 over Rafael.

I'd like to see Rafael win so he can get the 'Rafa Slam' and have a good chance of going 5-in-a-row
