Count me in. I have two rebel 95s strung with MSV focus hex 17L at 58 lbs. It has a unique feel to it: soft but solid. The control is amazing too. For a 12+ oz racket it doesn't feel like one, so I never have any fatigue. I really like the maneuverability as well. Overall I'm going to keep these for a while.

I like msv too. the string is soft and I use port inserts so I don't need to worry about stiffness ^_^
nowadays, I am interested in heavier rackets....have not use japanese rebel 95 for a while. still use 105 but leaded at handle make it about 340g (strung).
I will keep my rebels but testing several rackets for fun.
very impressed with head IG speed mp (16x19) so far.

It's same place. Japanese rebel 95 is exactly same except weight and some paint job. Agree. Last one is very tight spot. If anyone spend a few mins, I think there is no problem to tie the knot.

I had one of the Rebels with the port-hole grommets and the other with the string-holes. Will see which one I prefer playing and then it's another learning curve with the co-poly/poly strings which I've not heard of until now. lol

Pretty sure it'll be in January of 2012, but I do not have any direct knowledge of the release date.
Can anyone with experience compare the diablo mid to the rebel? I have been playing with the diablo mid for about 9 years now and may be looking to move on. Looking for comparisons on power, spin, manueverability and general heavieness of shot, specs look very close. Also, how has the QC been in regards to swingweight? Had some issues with that in the last batch of diablo's.

I guess for now I'm part of this club...again. I picked up my old Rebel from my friend because I think I missed something there when I didn't try polys in it. At the time I used it with Gosen OG Sheep Micro 17 at 60 lb and it played the best according to my friends; I just didn't like how syngut lost tension after a couple of sets and so I sold my Rebels. Now I'm fiddling with polys and I'm hoping I don't have to keep restringing after every match.
I'm curious Rebel experts, can I swap the Rebel Team black grommet inserts into the Rebel? I would like to get a set of each of the ports and holes sets to see how it would make the frame play. Any advice and opinions would be appreciated.

^ I'm pretty sure you can switch the inserts with those from the Rebel Team.

Thanks for the reply kimguroo. I ruined my string port grommet and at that time ordered a replacement plus the port hole grommets. I found the same as you. This is the first Prince with O-port tech that I played with and I did not like the feel of the port grommets. There was NO difference in power and IMO I lost some feedback. I am sure that because I am accustom to a traditional frame, the string port grommets feel much better to me. The only way I can describe it is a more crisp feeling, no more or less power.

Thinking of buying a 105 - can anyone who has hit one give me their thoughts.
Ive been playing an iRadical for years and looking at the racquet specs, the 105 is the closest thing I've found to it. I recently hit a Exo3 graphite 93 as I used to play with a POG in the 80's - too good for me now.

I don't usually give racket review because everyone has different techniques and playing styles.
I've used rebel 105 over a year. It's a great racket. The headsize looks like 100" because of oval shape. Never felt it's a oversize racket.
I've never tried iradical so I don't know power level of the racket. Rebel 105 is somewhat low power racket compare to other OS rackets. I should say slightly less power than EXO3 tour. Only concern that you are from traditional rackets so you might not like port inserts because it might have muted feeling. You can use hole inserts though. I feel that half inch longer length gives me some advantage. Serves and two hand backhands are much better for me.
If you can demo the racket, you should demo the racket first.

Nah, I looked closely at the video. The O ports are standard on it now and the grommets are eliminated. If you freeze the video on his forehand you can see that it looks like the old O3 technology with a grommet built in.

I found it on the yahoo sports photos, it is I believe from todays match against Ryan Sweeting. Monfils won it 6-3, 7-6.
Hope they do not change the racket too much when it is released to the public.

Yeah I'm testing a few rackets too. So far I'm trying the Dunlop Bio 200 and I kinda like it. Maybe I'll get one just for fun, but I'll use my rebels for a while

Hey fellow club members! I was wondering what set ups you guys use on your Rebels.
I so far have only used crap synths due to budget. I'm thinking a full bed of Head's FiberGel Power. I've had good experiences with that string. Except durability of course lol. I like the feeling of taking huge cuts while pocketing the ball and getting it wherever i want.
I've tried crisper strings and just doesn't feel as good even though the pop is nice.

My usually set up is Solinco Tour Bite 18/Prince Syn Gut Multi 17 @ 59lbs, with 8grams lead at 3 and 9.
I've liked full syn gut at 60 lbs, and full multi at 62 lbs, but the hybrid is my favorite by far.

My string set up
I have been trying different setups...
1. Prince Premier LT 18 gauge: Great for full bed. Really does play like gut but more crisp and doesn't disperse feel as much. But fantastic soft string.
2. Tecnifibre X-1 Biphase 18 gauge: Good for full bed. Live and crisp feeling. Lots of power but didn't compliment the frame as well as Prince Premier.
Hybrids:
1. Prince Premier Lt 18 (mains)/Luxilon Big Banger Ace 18 (crosses): This is a good hybrid if you want to play at the back court and hit flat or topspin drive balls all day. Its hard to miss with these. You sacrifice a little feel and take on a little more harshness. It did not hurt my arm or shoulder, but I knew when I hit late on my groundstrokes or serve.

Currently playing with a full bed of poly - Luxilon Savage, strung at 58lbs. So far, I'm loving it. Feels very soft (for a poly) and the string shape gives me access to great amounts of spin. Really impressed with it.
I bought the Rebel 105 to replace by iRadicals and am really very happy with it. Wondering how the 105 compares to the 95 - are they very different?

Thought I'd revive this thread for all of the people who have/will be demoing the new Rebel's. I just demoed the 95 and can say that it is so SOLID, I don't know if it's me but it feels even more solid than the original.

^ Even though it has more flex than the original, the carbon/thermoplastic port inserts should help in the feel department. Just as they did with the exo3Tour frames.
