Fed on schedule for another Nadal drubbing....

Interesting fact. And an 18-10 isn't what I call ownage, which many fans like to throw it around. It's not like Fed's record against Roddick.

The head-to-head just looks better simply because Federer's in double-digits.

But, yes, 18-10 isn't total domination, especially when Nadal has lost to Federer on every surface/condition whereas Nadal has never beaten Federer after July.

Fed spanked Nadal yesterday. It was just pure ownage, in terrible conditions.

Nadal was visibly bothered by the weather, but Fed just hit through the wind.

I never even said Federer couldn't beat Nadal. You clowns sure are obsessed with me. Just wow at my domination of some people. And my post regarding the final-

Thank you federer for restoring my faith in this rivalry. I now look forward to Fedal matches. No longer is it a man vs a boy. This rivalry is now 2 adults. The real deal.

Federer has whooped Nadal plenty over the years. Not a surprise to see it this week. Not as lopsided as the world tour finals. Cahill said it best when he tweeted 'if Fed can't beat Nadal in today's conditions, then he's screwed for the year'.

With your severly unbiased perspective and a foretelling name, it would be crazy to expect people not to get enamored by you:)....... So how are you today ma'am?

Actually he never tweeted that. I would go check again.

Somebody quoted Cahill saying that. It must have been on the air or somewhere apart from twitter. I just assumed it was twitter, because there I saw him tweeting a lot just before the final, regarding the weather.

Never better, as Nadal has moved closer to Djokovic. Djokovic was defending an Indian Wells title. Nadal was defending an Indian Wells final appearance. Djokovic lost a lot more than Nadal, hence Nadal has moved closer to reclaiming the top ranking, thanks.

Cahill did say before the match (on air) that if Fed does not beat Nadal today, his season could be in trouble -- he did not mention anything about "today's conditions". In any case, I never got it why Fed's whole season would depend on the outcome of this one match.

Ok.

If that's the case, doesn't make a lot of sense. Federer has won 16 slams while only winning 2 of 8 slam meetings. Doesn't seem to matter if Nadal has the edge over Federer, in terms of overall success. I just thought the quote mentioned something about the conditions, but either way, its over.

Hilarious. Wasn't Nadal supposed to put Djokovic to a test today? According to your own words.

I know that you said that rommil's theory should be put to test. But those words have the same meaning, because they meant, that Nadal and Djokovic will meet at the final today. So, there.

Mr. Troll this is not only for you, but for every one like you out there. 6-5 on a hard court, 2-1 on grass now.. That's 2/3 surfaces Roger has the head to head advantage on. The two places he's got the better of Fed on a hard court are without a doubt the two slowest hard courts on the tour, Miami and the AO. What makes this loss so bad for Rafa is that IW is in the bottom tier of that group of slow hard courts, but Fed was able to give him a lesson on it. Miami and the AO ( arguably the slowest slam at the moment) are what Rafa can claim at this point . Fed is the only active player to win the AO on both rebound ace and plexicusion. 5/8 of Nadal's slam wins have been on clay. Rafa to date has never beaten Fed after Wimbledon in a season:) Can you say "transitional #1" ? Your boy's reputation took arguably the biggest one day hit in his career yesterday. The only thing that could surpass this, would be a loss in the FO finals this year.

Of course, if Nadal met Djokovic. He didn't. Nadal has been improving vs Djokovic of late, so I am well within my rights to suggest Nadal will put Djokovic to the test. I only mentioned it being at Indian Wells because that is/was the next available opportunity. Either way, I don't think I hurt anyone's feelings. At least I'm not predicting scores. There is a thread on general board now where posters are predicting the score of the Isner-Federer final.

How is Nadal improving vs Djokovic? He lost in the AO final to a listless and tired Novak. Nole just has way more of a complete aggressive and defensive game than Nadal. Nadal cant come close to matching the aggressive but consistent game nole plays. And the dampness last night may have helped fed, but the wind should have been a big plus for Rafa as it would have slowed down Fed's serve and fh.

Son, let me make it clear to you, since you do not make any sense at all.

When you expect Nadal to put Djokovic to a test (your words) at the IW final you also expect him to beat Federer, in order to reach that final. Are you still with me? Good. Two days later you say, that you are not surprised to see Federer beating Nadal. (Something, that not only you, but also quite reasonable posters on this board and dedicated Federer or Nadal fans failed to foresee.). Those two opinions of yours are inconsequent. They contradict each other.

That's how Djokovic usually plays. That is how Djokovic played the US Open final too. And that is why he won no titles after the US Open. Djokovic is tired at the end of slams, because he plays a style that causes physical exhaustion to himself and his opponents.

Federer just outplayed Nadal yesterday. It was Cahill who mentioned before the match started that the conditions would help Federer. I never said that. Take it up with Cahill if you have a problem.

Because Roger simply doesn't look comfortable on court at all. Granted, Bellucci and Raonic played well, but Federer's been missing some easy shots more often.

Yes, he's been playing well, but this is his third tournament in 4 weeks, I think. He was bound to feel the effects in either IW or Miami.

So what were you saying??? Seriously great match from Roger, well done. He proved that there is no match up and to say otherwise is just plain ignorant. Also, that he is not some old man, and still in his prime.

And yeah, the Nadalwon't2012 name is still available:) Or even Nadalwon't2015 since I vaguely recall saying 3 years

Well, you are the expert on the subject so if anyone should know it's definitely you.

Acually Fed is an early bloomer compared to Nadal, he had his first 3 slam winning year at the age of 22 compared to Nadal who did so at the age of 23.

You, some fans of Nadal and nadaldrivesrangerover2012, plus all his incarnations are pushing very hard for the dumbest post there is. Push harder, there is a reward for you.

And, please, do not put this or any other of my posts in contention with yours. We know, that you are pathetic in humour as well.

Tennis IS about match up. That's why Davy has a positive H2H over Nadal.
