Lavs,

Thank you very much, great to know what they are using and what tension.

Wow. Tsonga strings at 34/29. That's quite a tension difference.

I think thats 31/29, looking at the other 1s.

Europeans tend to draw long accents on their number 1s. A generalisation I know, but my parents do it, and whenever I've noticed this style I've noted it's come from a European. I quite like it. Also love the 9s with their lowercase g-like descenders.

31/29, not 34/29

My fault

Alexander Peya still old school too. Knows pain is such an important thing in life. A player should experience suffering.

I don't think he ever really switched from this frame. I still have several of these; it is a great racquet, in my opinion.

32/32 kg is over 70 pounds. How does Peya still have an arm?

While it's still on the higher side he did go down some kilo's, a few years ago he strung around 37kg (81lbs)

Keep in mind he doesnt use a poly but a high end multi which is veryyyyy elastic...

Thanks for posting, interesting stuff.
I thought that some of those players were with priority 1.
Or does the tourney get string info just incase?

Priority One provides stringing at the 4 majors and the 1000 Master series.

baghdatis reversed his main/cross setup huh?

I remember he used to have ALU power in the mains and VS in the crosses.

Also ditched the VS overgrip, using wilson pro now..

Even with the gut/poly hybrids doesnt seem to be the tension variance between the mains and crosses that a lot of the users here on the boards use.

I think it's interesting to see how Dunlop is has no racquet representation in 2012 which sucks to me because I love my Dunlops. Also, to see the rise of Babolat and Wilson taking prominence from Head. It's kind of crazy to see just how popular Babolat has become is so relatively short a time.

That's on clay. On faster or indoor courts he tends to use 32kg!
