Arrogant Federer - Comments on Nadal's loss

I wonder if all these Fed fans would be laughing if it was Rosol who beat Federer. I suspect there would be more tears instead of laughter.
Indeed. There would be tears instead of anger and self-deprecating, well natured resignation (which is the way a true Nadal fan responds to this sort of circumstances.)

If Fed had been the one to lose, there would be tears. How many tears, do you ask?

That's still many fewer tears than the ones grck shed on Thursday LMFAO.

Believe me Fed was not the only one laughing. Half the players probably had a chuckle, and a lot more of the fans. Arrogant? No just a normal reaction to a feel-good moment.

You have to be kidding me. Fed fans do this constantly anytime Nadal takes a freaking breath. He cannot do anything without being put under the microscope by a lot of the haters here. Just look at all of the stupid troll threads that have been started up about him over the last few days. Total trash is all those threads are,but nobody says a thing about them. The bias here is off the charts.
Come on, Clarky, I've often spoken against this Nadal hating, don't say "no one". I've also told Magnus and that other hater to clam up but he insists he has a right to voice his hatred. You can always use the "Report Post" button, if you don't what can I do?

Can somebody please post gifs of Nadal failing to return Rosol's serve and the Fed laughing to complete the whole picture of arrogance:smile:

I believe zildite is the man. Or pcxl_fan, hood_man etc. I've been dethroned as gif-king and retired forcefully :)

To be honest the 5th set WAS A JOKE. After Rosol broke in the 1st game, the winners were coming out and I was expecting them anyway. So it was a half-laugh and half-rafa-couldn't-do-anything for me. It was just an LOL laugh at the helpless situation that any opponent would have been against that Rosol.

I did too, after he was holding serve in 45 seconds for fun against Nadal in the 5th set, I was like "lol too good to be true!"

I really wish Rogi would have been honest and stated how butthurt he really is now that his oppurtunity to thrash ****** in the final has been taken away. Shame on Rosol! The arrogance! It's a outrage! Someone should investigate...was it PEDs? How dare a journeyman go God-mode on the hallowed lawns reserved for champions!

each time Nadal is anything less than 100 % he gets slautered in the first rounds, Fed's in the finals/semis (or at least was) in just about every tournament when Nadal only bothered to reach finals on clay

Nadal is probably where he wants to be this weekend. Fishing in the lovely waters of Majorca where it is so laid back you can forget everything. I was shocked to see his first match let alone the one he played against Rosil. I have not seen him play that bad since I first saw him on grass and that isn't Nadal who takes all the stops out to win. We shall see if Rosil was just the equivilant of a freak storm or something real as the week goes on and I hope we have someone new on the horizon because the top three won't be there for more than a handful of years

>I was laughing because of his performance for 10 minutes after that. I couldn't believe it that he pulled it off the way he did.

I was laughing too at the way Rafa was beaten: that was CLASSY and CLASSIC

As a Nadturd, I was laughing too because why Babolat couldn't make longer rackets. It seemed like Waffa had a hard time putting the racket on returns. This is not Rafa's fault, it's a manufacturer defect.

You know it.

Imagine if Fed dropped in R2 and Rafa said that, while he has nothing against Fed, upsets are good for the game and that he was laughing for 10 minutes after at the 5th set. Troll threads galore.

The reason nobody(or very few) says anything about those thrash threads is because 60-70% of the users here are fed fans who will never ever say anything bad about someone that is trolling on Nadal(see them encouraging the djoko trolls last year or doing it themselves).

When Nadal "fans" start trash threads about Fed I expect the supposedly more mature Fed fanbase to stop feeding trolls but they usually don't. Then they complain about zillas/nsk's and such.

Geez, what's your point? If the scenario as you said happened, sure Fed fans would be all over Rafa. But likewise, you *********s would be defending him exactly as Fed fans are doing now! :) Oh the irony.

I think the difference is Nadal would have said, he was truly sorry for Fed and would stop at that. Not make jokes out of the situation.

Who knows what he actually would have said. But the point is the *********s are making up a scenario and postulating on the reaction had Nadal said what Fed did.

Federer is just happy that he will not face Nadal in the final. When he see Nadal on the other side of the net he wets his pants and cries. Right now he is thanking his lucky stars as he knows that he can't defeat Nadal without blue clay LOL

Federer said that while his opinion is nothing against Nadal on a personal level, it was good to see that upsets are still possible.

"I think 15 years ago you had matches like this so much more often on the faster surfaces, that a guy could catch fire and just run through you," Federer said. "Today it's virtually impossible because you make so many more returns these days and conditions are so much slower with the elements. Whereas it was just amazing to see that it was possible. Okay, he didn't play like that for five sets, but in the fifth it was just a joke. I was laughing because of his performance for 10 minutes after that. I couldn't believe that he pulled it off the way he did. Of course I do feel bad for Rafa because it's a tough loss; it's Wimbledon; it's the way things happen."

Shouldnt Fed be more classy ?

Before we launch a Fed vs Nadal vs Djoko war, please think how the forum would react if Novak or Nadal had said 'It is good to see an upset' if Fed lost to Julien B ?

Wouldn't happen because Fed doesn't leave short high bouncing sitters like Nadal did in the match. Rosol was definitely in God Mode, but Nadal was leaving everything short.

Much ado about nothing. Sorry, but you don't have much of case here. The judge is throwing this one out of the court.

well yes, rasol's play in the final set was ridiculous .....you couldn't do that much except smile/laugh at it ...

Still a server better than rafa could've held and hoped for rasol to crack eventually ....

She knows it, you know it, everybody knows it.

Imagine if Fed dropped in R2 and Rafa said that, while he has nothing against Fed, upsets are good for the game and that he was laughing for 10 minutes after at the 5th set. Troll threads galore.

You mean like when Fed cried during the 2009 AO ceremony and there were so many "Fed is a crybaby" threads the mods were having to merge them? Some of us here have a somewhat longterm memory. What is this thread BTW? Is this considered a bashing thread?

The reason nobody(or very few) says anything about those thrash threads is because 60-70% of the users here are fed fans who will never ever say anything bad about someone that is trolling on Nadal(see them encouraging the djoko trolls last year or doing it themselves).

And Nadal fans do about someone who is trolling Fed? Heck, I've actually seen some Fed fans (like Mandy and Malakas for example) defend Nadal in the past when his haters go overboard, I've yet to see the same courtesy from any Nadal fan.

Besides, it's impossible for this forum to have such a large percentage of Fed fans, all Fed fans are gloryhunters remember? Fed hasn't won **** for more than 2 years, I guess this Swiss horse is getting harder to back.

When Nadal "fans" start trash threads about Fed I expect the supposedly more mature Fed fanbase to stop feeding trolls but they usually don't. Then they complain about zillas/nsk's and such.

So what? Nadal fans insult Fed as a person and trashtalk about his family, insult Novak's nationality etc. and then go on and complain about *******s and *********s.

I am still genuinely surprised Rafa won two sets with Rosol playing like that. Although I still think his lack of timing, short balls and mishit slice backhands gave Rosol a big chance to play like that.

How dare he laugh, he should be setting an example for the kids watching at home.

Disgusting. 8)

Tell me, who will you support when Djokovic starts losing more often as your support of him is clearly that of a gloryhunter. Where were you two years ago?

Somewhere in India to be exact, living the life of a buddha. I care for our existence but you liking Nadal puts a shadow over life.

Pity.

I'm saddened by trolling attempts that fail to cause upsets. 15 years ago, you at least had the occasional troll in God mode who managed to upset someone. Of course I felt bad when a serious poster got upset by such trolling mastery, but I coudn't help but laugh at what the troll managed to pull off. Today, these upsets are virtually impossible because trolls are clearly too obvious and lack the talent to create such upsets.

Nadal is the only tennis player that can make so many people happy.

When he wins, he makes his fans happy. When he loses, he makes his haters happy. Gotta give it to the guy.

I agree. Rafa even makes himself happy in between serves. Lovers happy, haters happy, rafa haffy:)

I don't like Federer but he wasn't laughing at Nadal's loss; just the absurdity of how well Rosol was playing.
