Recommendation for soft, low to mid power stick?

I'm looking to switch from my K Tours that I am currently playing with, I know it's not too stiff of a stick but I can't shake some elbow pain even with tension in the low 50's. Ideally I'd like something in the 98/100 head size to keep some of the power that I'll be losing by going to a softer frame. Thanks for any ideas folks.

Both look really good, but @slowfox the PK Redondo is a bit too heavy for my liking, I still may give it a demo though.

To the OP, the Tour 100 is very low powered, definitely not mid powered.

How does the 98 compare? I'm a pretty big guy, not tall but strength wise and am pretty good at generating my own power so I can always compensate by stringing lower if the frame itself is low powered, I'm mainly concerned with comfort at this point. I don't hit with too much spin either so if the power is a bit on the lower side it's only going to help me keep the ball deep but not out.

I wanna recommend you to try Tour versions rather than Rebel 98 if you can generate your own power and look for more comfortable rackets;18x20 for more control and 16x18 for more spin.
Tour is a very arm-friendly racket and its feel is so different compared to other rackets. You must demo first before buying it.

strings might be a factor as well.. natural gut might be an option, or multi if you're not a string breaker.

i have a pk ki q5 (295), dunlop bio500 tour, and a bab pure storm gt on the way for demos, some of those may fit the bill. I was looking for similar characteristics.

That would depend on the individual, to me the Tour 100 is not that low powered. It is nowhere near very low powered, I would classify it as medium low.

I'm on Aero500's, and can tell you 500's are stiff but not overly powerful.
Pure storm is medium.
Microgel is softer.

Hi iradical18,

Yeah man I'm recently recovered from TE and have got lots of good reccos for you. The good news is you wont be taking any significant hit in power by dropping to a more flexible frame. I just posted something a few minutes ago that might be right on point for you regarding frame stiffness and racquet power:

I think anytime someone has elbow pain they should immediately try a ProKennex Ki5 315. I got some TE last summer because of playing way too much with the very arm friendly PSLGT. Rather than stop playing, I borrowed a friend's Ki5 315 and noticed how it removed the vibrations that aggravated the pain. After a few months the TE went away, but I still play with the Ki5 because it is just a great all round racquet that does everything well.

Blade 104 if you talk about Wilsons.

The K Tour is light, almost even balanced and rather stiff. You could try to lead up the handle, to make it more solid, and reduce shock. Try one ½" strip of lead tape running from the top of the grip down around the butt and up again on the other side. That will add about 7 grams. You could try two.
It involves taking the grip of and reapplying it, but it is not such a big deal.
If it is a syn grip you could also change to leather + an overgrip, or combine that with the lead.
Also I would try changing the tension to fx. 22 kgs (46lbs). But do one thing at a time, so you know what works.

Definitely agree with this.

It is so flexible, hard to believe there are a lot of rackets with less power but I shall take your word for it since I'm not a racketaholic. :)

That is GREAT stuff! Thanks for taking the time and effort to do that. Thank everyone else for the suggestions as well, I've got a solid list of sticks to demo now, I appreciate all of the advice.

Wilson 6.1 95 BLX 2012 with full Babolat VS Team 17 at 57/55 LBs.

Way lower SW then your KFactor Tour 95(right?) + the basalt that makes it very easy on the arm.

This is a lot cheaper and closer to what you are used to.

Thanks for the idea! I will certainly give it a try, I'm all out of lead though as I haven't used it in quite a long time. In the mean time I've ordered a few demos using the suggestions in this thread .Thanks again everyone
