Hard to say because the weight is so different making the feel at impact very different. I dont think there is so much difference though. Feels like 66-69 RA or somewhere around that

Guys, I'm going to get "the Autograph" for a playtest.
Do you think Isospeed Classic Gold (ribbon type multifilament string) as a full string bed at 24/23kG is a good idea? It's a nice lower power muted multi.
I've used this string in my racquets and was really pleased - I switched due to a wee bit lack of power.
I play with an open pattern (16x17) 16-19mm beam frame using a hybrid of Head PWR Fusion and any smooth round poly in the crosses.

I just played the RF97 aut. on clay. I recorded about 15 minutes of hitting when
I switched between the RF and a Head i.prestige with almost identical specs
apart from the 16/19 v. 18/20 string pattern. Will upload on the tube tonight

Guys, everywhere I have seen, the RF97 is reported as 9 points HL, on my racquet it says 12?

The racquet is 12 pts HL unstrung, 9 pts HL with string.

Man, cant decide if I should buy one or not. Strings recently broke on my 90 and started using the 85 in the mean time. Feel in love with it again. I really want a rf autograph but could get a couple more 85s instead.

A little update: The 340 gram version is really starting to be a contender as my new weapon. I slowly starting to get used to the weight of it and the solid feel and plow is just amazing. Vollyes is like a joke. It´s seriously like you have a wall and hit volley with. Never been anywhere close to this with any other frame.
Just restrung it with Alu Power Rough main at 51 lbs and Tonic + at 52 cross and will test again tonight.

Big iPrestige MP guy here finding the 97 very interesting.
BTW the iPrestige was a mandatory immediately get rid of the syn grip and swap for leather stick. Perfection with that mod only. Every other frame required about 8 g of lead added to hoop. That this appears could be the same situ is fascinating.
Both should have been stock with leather grips.....

How did it go with the gut and alu power?? I pre order mine and plan to put in Tonic in mains at 52 and 4G crosses at 48.

That's the thing with heavy frames. You feel like you'll never be able to swing something that heavy and then you try it for a while and it grows on you.

Not that great. I liked the full co-poly bed better then alu/gut actually. Even if it felt tighter it was not same control as im used to with full poly.
I just have to understand that Alu Power 1,25 is the string for me.

Comparison to Blade 98 16x19?

Have you experience with Blade 98 16x19 and if so, how does RF97 compared to it?
From my experience, I have one hand back hand, Blade 98 16x19 has more pop than 18x20 and it's open pattern which are the reasons I made the move from Prostaff 90 12'. I would be very interested in your thoughts for deciding on RF97 or RF97A.

Oh, it was almost a year since I used the 16/19 Blade, and then only for 2*1 hour sessions. From my memory I felt the Blade 16/19 made the ball fly a tad to much. If i was to use the Blade 16/19 I think I have to string it very tight to get enough depth controll.
A new Blade 98 will soon come out and I hope they have some more control in the 2015 version.
The Blade feels a little bit faster through the air compared to the RF97. If I should recommend the Blade 98 16/19 it would be for baseline-grinders with western/semi-western grip and much topspin and the RF97 for more flat hitting players. Think TW-testplayer Granville

It's weird, your finding about manoeuvrability, because Blade 16x19 is just about the same weight as RF97 and RF97 is technically more headlight, which I would think lead to more manoeuvrability. Anyways, what I was more interested to hear was how they compare in terms of easiness to generate power off of ground strokes and servers.
And I did too find the Blade requires your utmost attention to have ball not sail long.

Same weight ????? RF97 weight is 340g unstrung and Blade 16*19 only 304g

Sorry about the confusion. By RF97 I meant the lighter version(315g) and for the real Federer's, I used RF97A. Guess I should've made the distinction.

The lighter (315g) version is called the "PS97", while the heavier (340g) version is called the "RF97" or "RF97A". "Roger Federer" or "RF" is not part of the model name in the lighter version.

Thank you! Finally someone noticed the difference. There is only one RF97; it's the heavier Autograph version. The other two are PS97 and PS97LS.
I didn't play with PS97- 315g, but I understand that has only 310 swingweight ( or around 310 ) Blade 16/19 swingweight measured by TW is 331. I played with Blade 16/19 and I didn't like it . Not very maneuverable and compared with my Angel TC95-315g much less plowthrough. It feels like a toy ( in a bad sense ).
I'am also very interested in PS97-315g . I love my TC95 ,but the SW is a little too high for me.

I came from PS90 12' version before the blade and the blade is definitely easier to swing at both base line and net obviously due to ligher weight. Plus I was able to actually hit winners from the base line even with semi-western forehand grip easily, which I couldn't before with PS90. Also when I changed from semi-western to somewhere near continental on my forehand to hit some flatter shot, I could literally tell that the ball actually flattened more as it hit the ground. So I am really enjoying the easier power I can generate with the blade. That said, I am looking forward to seeing how Wilson set up these new, RF97 and PS97.

If my memory serves me right the PS97´s synt grip was 11 or 12 grams lighter then the Wilson leather grip i installed on the PS97 i have at home.
Will record a short hitting session tomorrow with the PS97 strung with co-poly at 50 lbs (I think i will try Kirschbaum max power)
I tried the PS97LS but it felt way way way to light for me. It was nothing like the RF or PS frames. It was very fast feeling and produced some wicked spin, but I would not give it to anyone to advanced. A frame more suitied to players wanting a very light feeling frame

Did not like it with hybrid. Had better control with full bed co-poly. Hard to control the ball with hybrid. But could be personal as i am so used to fullbed poly

I´m skeptical. It felt sort of like a 50 $ frame. Too hollow/plastic feel. A good 20 grams of silicon and maybe 10 grams lead in the top could make it a good, solid frame but then it might be to heavy to snap through the ball and use it as the spin frame it is
I have not tried the 95L. Compared to the six.one 95S it is lacking a lot though

Give it a try. Demo it. What i dont like might be smething you like very much. I dont listen at all to what people say about the feel of a racquet because its so personal. Spin, stability etc is more universal and true, but feel is a very personal thing so dont be to hard on it just by what i say

I play with a customized blx tour 95, 321 strung, 34cm balance and 350 sw
thanks. what if i use a wilson leather grip & 3 grams in the hoop (as i usually do)? would it be too heavy to swing?
