I have to say, very impressive to bagel all three in very big matches nonetheless.

This shows how much bigger a server fed is than the other three. Only 1 bagel in 15 years Wow.

its not just the serve, but the overall game ..

its ironical though, he came close to being bagelled by ferrer of all people at cincy ...I don't recall him being close to that vs djokovic in any match ...the only time I felt so vs murray was Olympics in 12, but he got through that one as well

so basically after Fed's 2nd year on tour he was only bagelled in the 2008 French Final, that's a testament to his serve game. Very impressive.

to their credit, the joker and the muzzette managed to respectively win 4/7 and 3/11 of the matches where they got bageled. not bad !

Congratulations to Federer on being the only player now in "the big 4" to bagel - win a set 6-0 against each of the other three players.

This isn't really a stat I'd celebrate that much. Federer is an excellent front-runner, so it's natural he'd have those stats. As much as it's an indication of the level he can reach and just not letting up, I'd say it also usually indicates something was wrong with the other player's level; they just didn't show up.

Federer wouldn't have beaten Nadal at the FO 2008 even if he played his best on clay, but the scoreline surely wouldn't have been as lopsided as 1-6 3-6 0-6.

Likewise for some of the bagels Nadal had against Federer. Wimbledon 2006, first set he was nervous and overwhelmed.

I think the way he fought back at Wimbledon 2012 to really give himself a chance, almost put him in control of the match until he had a lapse, was far more impressive.

FO 2008 was an awful final from Federer, but he did well to even make the final playing like he did.

When I think about tough GS finals for Federer, I don't think about FO 2008. That was easy. Nadal was just too good and Federer had a bad performance, not that he would have won anyways. Tough losses? AO 2005, Rome 2006, FO 2006 & 2007 (17 break chances!), Wimbledon 2008, AO 2009, USO 2009, FO 2011 especially, and Wimbledon 2014.

Incredible stat! And Fed even bageled Nadal on clay at Hamburg in '07 which is even more surprising.
Federer baggeled the best clay court player of all time in Nadal onclay and also baggeled the second best HC player of this era in Djokovic on HC

Impressive

+1. I think Toni has said the same.

Federer can just get on a roll sometimes when the opponent is hitting short or not putting him under pressure where he's mixing up his game hitting the lines, using his touch etc...

He also bageled Ferrer, Agassi, Hewitt, Nalbandian, Del Potro, Davydenko, Roddick, Santoro, and perhaps quite a few other good players.

Plus three of Rogi's four were in junk time (1999) so barely count.

And the other was substandard Roger vs. GOATing Nadal in an RG final.
Not bad.

Indeed it is. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen that often anymore. Shanghai came close, but other than that, we haven't really seen it for a full match since 2012 imo.

Impressive indeed. Even if I love Fabrice Santoro, he's a bit out of his league in that list :)

I added him because Federer could not bagel any other top Frenchman :)

Monfils, Tsonga, Simon - all have survived their encounters with Federer without a single bagel along the way.

ALL wins by Nadal, Djokovic and Murray came when they got bageled in the 2nd set of a best of 3 match and 3rd set of a best of 5 match.

Most probably 90% are strategic tanking.

Not all

Djokovic: 2005 USO 1R vs Monfils: 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(5), 0-6, 7-5

This one was in the first set.

Besides, unless they tried to get the advantage of serving first in the final set, there's no reason to get bageled and have the humiliation it brings too them.

Let me rephrase that. All bagels in their wins came in the next to last set.

When i say tanking, it's not really all out tanking where you give away the set. It's tanking in the sense that when they were probably down 30/40-0 on their opponents serve at 4-0, 5-0 or when they fell 0-40, 15-40 while serving at 0-4, 0-5, they most likely have put lesser effort than usual.
