I saw the YT video and was gonna order one until I saw the price. I thought $20-30 plus shipping is reasonable.

Then again, I don't know if Twistweight machines exist on the market and perhaps $80 is a bargain?

Either way, still appreciate what Brian is doing.
I see why it’s 80. That’s not a simple 3D print and it is a very precise mount. Worth every penny.

I would order one if I cared about TW right now, I think it is a very important spec. But all I want is more BP, just gimme that.

Even though my mum is from Korea and my dad is from Turkey, I grew up in Germany, a country where you can buy insurances for everything! I believe there is no country where people care more about insurances and safety and try to control everything. Maybe it is my socialisation or upbringing, but I think I will only take the Top Bananas to the next league match on Saturday. Oh man. I just know, if I bring these fruits, anyone on the other side of the net is gonna have a hard time in this league. Vitamin-time!
Edit: I also contacted Nikki (Unstrung Customs) about the PJ...

What happened to the 93P? A Tuesday?

I thought you can already get a twistweight reading from the Briffidi from turning the frame sideways and doing some calculation - think this was on one of the introductory videos I saw?
A ton of error potential. The new mount makes it far more repeatable and accurate

On the fence about the new Briffidi twist weight attachment. Looks cool, but do I need this measurement added to my calculations? Up until now I’ve been very content measuring weight, SW and balance. My BP’s that are matched on these three specs feel exactly the same. That being said, my racket scientist monkey mind is working overtime telling me I might benefit from one more data point and asking for the attachment. My minimalist happy satisfied mind is winning out, telling me “you’re good bud.”

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow holics. I’m looking forward to a four day weekend of rest, turkey, family, friends, football and tennis. Should be awesome.

Well that was interesting. Apparently the prices on some of this stuff including the PT2.0 was a mistake. It was meant to be 30% off only but someone made a mistake and marked them 30% off and added an extra 30% off code to be used for them. The PT was meant to be $112 but ended up being $78. It's basically sold out now as only L4s remain.

Well, at least they know there's still demand for them...

Europeans (or if you're willing to order from TWE): big potential deal on TWE! Nike Court Zoom NXT & Pro shoes. You just pay for one pair when you order two.

I've been using the Court Zoom NXT clay shoes since April on clay and artificial grass. I went through my first pair pretty fast (nice shoes but the mesh uppers bag out quickly) and started using a second pair then, which are still fine. I'm now using a third pair specifically on artificial grass and keepnig the second pair for clay tennis. So I'm still good on mine but I must say this is a great deal. It would mean €119,98 for two new pairs in my case. I might do it as these Court Zoom NXTs wear pretty quickly due to the soft uppers like I said.

Some other good deals too on clothing and a few racquets.
Thanks for your tip! Just ordered 1 pair of Asics Gel Solution Speed FF in velvet pine/white color.

Anyone have a favorite tennis Christmas tree ornament? This little guy comes in an open 8x9 pattern and hits a mean ball. You have to string it with 0.75 gauge string though, which can be hard to find. Unsure of the brand, but it is probably a Head Prestige Classic 005 frame (measured around the outside of the hoop of course.

Nothing really. It is still my goat frame, alongside the TB.
Was thinking about a blacked out PJ with golden lettering that says "Top Banana ". Or the other way round. Haha.

Blacked out with just Top Banana in banana coloring would be Game Over. If in need of design ideas, I would thoroughly recommend Mr. 808.

Thanks for your tip! Just ordered 1 pair of Asics Gel Solution Speed FF in velvet pine/white color.

That there is one handsome shoe. Velvet Pine would also be a good name for a band out of Oregon.

maybe they could use a blade v8 style paint for the banana so it goes from green to yellow depending on the lighting.

Speaking of Tuesdays, I had one this Thanksgiving morning. At an hour and forty-two minutes in I looked at the clock as that was the first solid service game I had in our doubles match. Just going to throw that one out...and take off the TW tungsten tape I replaced my 10/2 lead with and switch it back. You know, just in case. Happy Thanksgiving.

Grip size looking a little big but other than that, nice racquet. Lead under the bumper I assume?

Can’t be a head prestige classic. No CAPs.

Is there any other sport, where the sport's players motivate the audience to cheer that often? I dislike this so much, it seems so desperate and like the audience doesn't even know when to cheer louder, you have to show them.
Same thing with this steady looking into the player's box, and it got way worse now due to the coaching rule. I liked it so much better when players fought their own battles, for me this was/is what makes/made this sport so unique.

I agree - can't stand that, with a very few exceptions. There are a couple players that occasionally pull it off because they are just truly excited - Tiafoe comes to mind there. Monfils maybe too.

Yeah, it seems so rehearsed and staged, not natural. I mean, seeing Rafa celebrating, you see the excitement has to come out of his body, he can't contain it. This is great natural celebration and this is what makes captivating moments in sport.

I was obliterated tonight on the scoreboard, even ate a bagel in a first set where I held five or six different game points, yet enjoyed that beating thoroughly. Great player, so many epic rallies, endless deuce games and break chances that always seemed to turn his way. We were both gassed midway through the first set given the exchanges, and just laughing and cursing by the end. A fun night and a hat tip, no doubt. I'm now dead.

Thanksgiving is an automatic mulligan for anything you do that day. Anything.

Those are some of the best sets.

I had a match like that a few weeks ago and it’s a great way to force yourself off a plateau.

Strung up the 299 SW PT. Strung with full bed of multi its at 325 SW which is perfect. No need to uncap and no need to add lead. I also forgot what a pain it is to string cap grommets. Trying to get multi crosses through the skipped holes takes some work.

I just bought the BP16 demo racket from my Pro Shop. It is 120€ and I couldn‘t say no to that.
Now I have two. One V7 one V8…
But this league match, it seems like it is Prince time as my elbow hurts a little bit with the TB, which is sad.

Crazy to me that your elbow could hurt with the TB. Any chance you made some weight distribution change that could have contributed to it?

A BP at 120 is impossible to deny - nice.

I’m roaming the sales with an itchy finger but there is nothing too obvious. Best candidates are a 93P for around 150ish, or Lotto or Diadora shoes for a bit less than 100 bucks. But there is no haymaker deal or obvious click. No deal on the LGs at Decathlon. That 100 inch Control Pro is now in stock, but a reviewer said it feels pretty stiff... The struggle is real.

it is not because of it. It just hurts. But the 93p makes it better. It is like a healing gel.

I agree, haven't seen many great deals around. A few of the VCORE Pros are cheap when using the code they have on the yellow pro website, not point.
VCP97 310 for €145,80
VCP H for €143,91
VCP D for €151,20

Good deals if anyone here wants to get one of these. Not me though, last thing I'm looking for is even more frames.

I set up the demo racket with a FW leather grip, two Gamma Supreme overgrips and about 3 grams at 6 and 9. It is 348 grams static and I would say 335 SA +-2. It is strung with ALU Feel 1.20. Feels substantial enough. But I must say, the Prince 93P feels miles away for me still. And yet, I feel like my holic heart is gonna grab the BP16, that I have never played before with these specs, and play the league match with it tomorrow...

Edit: This guy has by far some of my favourite tennis content right now:

How come? Do you try to go ahead of time and warm up?
I try not to miss short my serves (aka in the net) and often use the first serve twice.
Ocassionally I throw in a drop shot/short serve if they stay way back. For that one you got to be indeed relaxed, but it's a trade mark.

Just one of those days. Have been playing mostly singles lately and played two good doubles players who pressured and returned really well. I play my best - doubles and singles - when I’m aggressive and staying on top of the ball. Just too much reacting yesterday. Tuesdays will happen.

A fan of this guy’s clips also, especially when it’s the back corner angle. Awesome look at a pro ball.

OK, but did you try to vary things? Like from where you serve, placement, types of serves etc? I am like you an alpha male and don't want people to kill my serves/hit winners by me, so I take more chances with my second serve.
Look Sabalenka recently (who historically had a dozen of DFs per match), had amped her second serve to 100 mph and won 85% of it in one set, with only one DF. We can do it also :)
She only faced on BP in the whole match and her first serve wasn't going in.

Funny enough I actually ordered a set of PTP 1.30 today and a few sets of Hawk Touch 1.30. I'll see how I like PTP 1.30 and let you know by that time, thanks.
We need to make sure we compare notes. I'm about to order 2x more TC100s in identical specs to the one I just bought used. Gonna switch from a racketholic to a stringholic. With three frames I'm hoping it only takes about 4-6 months to zero in on a string I really want to settle down with. We'll see!
