I think we can safely say that the next 10 or so slams are gonna be Novak/Rafa affairs in the final.
Previously I'd go with Nadal to win all of them, but now I don't even care. All I know is that y'all are gonna get sick of Nadjokovic dominance very soon - it will be them at the end of literally every slam.

Plus Novak is 48-1 on the year, that's a **** ton of tennis to be playing. I think he'll come down to Earth a bit during the US Open Series and the US Open.

If that is the U.S Open final this year it will likely mean there were some upsets as I dont see Del Potro beating either Federer or Nadal right now. And if that is the final this particular year Djokovic wins in 4 sets max.

If they had played in the U.S Open final in 2009 Del Potro would have won however.

Because before F.O 2011, they played in 07, 08 and 09. The first 2 times, Delpo was a baby and the the third time Delpo wasn't Delpo so to speak.
Fact is even the F.O 2011 match was damn close with Delpo nuring an injured hip and totally out of fitness.
If they meet in UsO, Djokoi won't even be able to defend on the slick court. Del Potro will blow him away off the back court. Quite likely in 3 or 4 sets..

Nadal is a match shy of 60 for the year. If there's a fatigue-related letdown coming, I'd put my money on him before Djokovic.

How is a 4-set loss a good indicator that Delpo will beat Djokovic next time? Djokovic defends better than anyone, so it would take a miraculous day for Delpo to win, especially since we haven't seen him play his best tennis in two years.

Nadal would never lose to Murray in a slam final. And how can he be vurnerable to Murray right now after playing him in 2 straight slam semis and dropping 1 set total.

He's vulnerable because he has played like crap all year and has just been handed yet another defeat at the hands of Djokovic,effectively killing what little confidence he did have from his RG win. Nadal is going to get killed during the American hardcourt season this year. He will be lucky to even make it past the quarters of the USO.
Yeah, but he never plays his best anymore. I hope he can get back to 2009 level, but I'm afraid he might pull a Safin.

Have you not watched Del Potro at Wimbledon? He played better on grass this year than he did in 2009. Parts of his game are better now than USO 2009. Delpo's ceiling is way higher than USO 2009. His volleys are better than ever and still bound to improve. He didn't serve as well during USO 2009 as he did during WTF 2009 and he is nearing that service form again. His ground-strokes will improve as he plays more matches. His movement and fitness aren't fully back either but will be soon if he stays healthy.
The reason "he never plays his best anymore" is because he is recovering from wrist surgery and a full year out of the game. You can't expect him to be back to his best yet. But he is very close.
