Federer has moved quite well from the TB onwards tbh. He was getting pinned by Anderson upping the ante quite a bit.

Even Tim Henman mentioned that his groundstroke speed and serve speed had increased significantly sine the start of the second.

That doesn't mean he's not injured.

You can be injured and overcompensate with other parts of the body. Groundstroke speed could increase if he's trying to end points quicker to avoid having to play defense if he can help it. He can use more shoulder to compensate for any lower back or leg issues to try and maintain getting cheap points.
