Agreed. Djokovic is one of those "very, very few players" who can beat Fed if he plays like this. The problem is, Djokovic doesn't allow Roger to play at this level. Last time was 2015 Cincy.
You would need Federer playing close to this level and Djokovic dropping his a little.....Federer frustratingly has lost matches even when Djokovic's not been at his best.....USO 2015 for example....Frustrating match that I got to watch at Arthur Ashe...
Did Djokovic say this to him? Otherwise I have no idea why he thinks this. Djokovic was visibly into that tournament, physically and emotionally, but it’s over a week ago and why shouldn’t he be ready for a Slam now?
I merely quoted McEnroe, I didn't make the statement and can't answer to his motivation for saying it. He said the same thing about Nadal. He thought it was foolish for guys 32 and 33 years old to play DC and then ATP Cup.
And it is bouncing lower than last year I feel....Fed 19/25 at the net so far.
