No chance. Nadal will win easy. Meddy has gone backwards from last year. Without Djoko, Rafa will will stroll to the title. In fact even krygios will go far. It's not that serious really. If Djoko isn't playing I probably still have Med as #1 favourite for USO.
Yes, they are both nextgen. What's your point?
It would be good to see some more S&V sprinkled in to combat these deep return positionsMed’s inability to move up even slightly on return is just embarrassing. I get that it’s your gameplan but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
This has to be a joke right? "Boring" and Kyrgios don't go together at all.If there's anything Nick is, it's a boring servebot!
I’d agree with all that. He’s nowhere near a favorite of mine but talent is talent. When he’s on it he’s got one of the most devastating serves of all time, plus he’s backing it up with cool volleys today. You need to hope he loses focus mentally or else he’s close to unbreakable for most of the Tour.

I wonder if it’s the same person who has described the Kyrgios BH as 3.5 level.Ask the guy I responded to![]()
Also Nick's second win over a No. 1 in his entire careerNicks first win over a No. 1 in 8 years!![]()
Fair play, but next gen does totally sucks though. My point is top-ranked players lose matches too. If not, Bill Tilden would still be n. 1... And this particular n. 1 just lost to the hottest player on tour, who incidentally has beaten him 3 out of 4 times. So while it may have a been a slight upset, I see nothing utterly shocking. And certainly no reason to use this match for the same, old, stale "next gen sucks" arguments.

I mean, when Novak Djokovic is making you look foolish with his volleying then you have issues. Don’t get me wrong Djok is a much improved volleyer and has always been good to great at the pickup volleys below the waist. But let’s be honest, a serve and volleyer he is not.He was looking just as embarrassing on return against Hurkacz last year. Didn't have a single break point in 3 long sets (still won the match but mostly because Hurkacz choked in the key moments, which Kyrgios didn't do today).
Nick’s seeding is deceptive since his 1200 runner up points from Wimbledon are not counted.
Med would not have to meet such a hot player so early in the draw…
