All-time is tough. Aggravation level elevated by "Meet Virginia," however. :) "Drops of Jupiter" also irritates, on a lesser level. It's odd because I quite liked one that came along later by Train, "Hey Soul Sister." I was genuinely surprised that these guys had a catchy track in them.

Lol I used to love that song, it came out when I was in like 8th grade. Hearing it takes me way back.

Did you get the chance to dance along the milky way :)

I keep hearing Rod Stewarts do you think Im sexy. Terrible song, to think he was once in The Faces.

Madonna "Like a Prayer" and 4 Non blondes "What's Going On" literally make me shudder every time I hear any part of it

One song I always hated was San Francisco by Scott McKenzie. I never hear it on the radio these days, but then again I seldom listen to the radio. Normally when I'm driving in my car, I listen to my iphone music through the bluetooth radio. However, I have horrible childhood memories of that song, because when I was a little kid, my dad (whose music taste differs greatly from mine) used to play that song and some others that I couldn't stand in the car all the time. I remember I was about 8 or 9 years old, and y family and I took a road trip out west, hitting New Mexico (Roswell) and the Grand Canyon, parts of southern California, etc. I couldn't hide my disdain for that particular song during the trip, so my brother and sister in typical older brother and sister fashion, tormented me all throughout the trip when that song came on. It was brutal, and that song is on my do not play ever under any circumstances list. :D
Will make sure it's in the karaoke rotation for our Meet-Up in Mousetown! I was going to butcher "Don't You Forget About Me" tonight for @jaggy but we're on a rain delay.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome dave pirner, the lead whiner for soul asylum.
Runaway Train
this song should just runaway from the radio ..
agreed.
Mid nineties complaint rock.....poorly imitating early 90s complaint rock.
One of my buddies loved Sonic youth, and we saw them live, together. It ate him alive when i would intentionally confuse soul asylum with Sonic Youth.

Edit:
Stop the presses!
I just heard a song by twenty-one pilots on the radio. This band is singlehandedly revolutionizing this thread. It is putting to shame virtually every single suggestion here. It's like this band read this thread and decided to go on a mission....to completely dominate over soul asylum, matchbox twenty, starship, and even Madonna.
I know a ton of effort went into this, and I congratulate them on thrashing all the pretenders.

Parks full of motors, painted green
mouths full of chocolate-covered cream
arms that can only lift a spoon...

Lots of salt and bad taste in this thread. Note: the radio has stations where you can pick the type of music you want to hear. Another note: The worst songs of all time are always being played somewhere on some radio station, so just stick to your iPod rather than complain on here?

90s music was the best. I hate the garbage that's played now and days. This generation doesn't know what real music is.

I would pick lou bega mambo no 5. Such an annoying song.

Van Morrison has had about 100 great songs yet all I ever hear on the radio is Brown Eyed Girl. It's not the worst song in the world but let's hear some others

I think this is the best time ever for music. You just don't hear it on commercial radio. Great stuff out there.

You have the temerity to denigrate a Prince song?
You, sir, have huevos.

I agree. I admire Prince's music. But not that track.
Prince's 'music' was rhythm, no melody. His success has always confused me. "Let's Go Crazy", "Little Red Corvette", "Little Nicky", "When the Doves Cry", "Raspberry Beret". I kept waiting to hear the hits that made him a star, but this was what he could do.

Don't get me wrong. If you love these songs, that's fine. I'm just surprised that they had such mass appeal.

Made worse if you were a Cricket fan in the 2000's as Channel 4 had this as the intro & ad breaks when hey had the terrestrial rights from 1999-2005.
