Annoying Habits?

Just a fun thread I am making here. Are there any habits of pro players that annoy you , either past or present, or of someone you've played, or maybe even yourself ?

For me I get irritated by Shapovalov bouncing the ball between his legs before serving. Got very annoyed by Azarenka flicking her hair before serving. I wanted to get a pair of scissors and chop off her ponytail ( not sure if she does it anymore).

A player I played against would take ages to serve and at the end stick his backside towards you for an extended moment. Very off putting.

I also get annoyed by the Shapo bounce. I also dislike most of Shapo's self-boosting shrieks

On the other end of the spectrum, i enjoy Murray's clock-like grip change move before the serve (Konta also does sth similar) and Fed's spinning the racquet between his hands when getting ready to return

That's a great point. Habits that are appealing. I also like those ones.

ALL PLAYERS sifting through 4 balls before deciding which 2 to serve with. Along the same lines, players who then let the two discarded balls roll back, making the ball kids bend down unnecessarily (Thiem, along with a few others, is always kind enough to bounce the balls back to the ballkids.)

Amen. And as if the balls are any different. Thank goodness they have to fetch their own towel at the moment.

Cilic's serve routine makes me sick.
Players who do the extended grunt, starting well after they hit the ball. They have a special place in Hell waiting for them.
Nadal & all his deviant idiosyncracies of course too.

Mostly old guys in league doubles who do this sort of exaggerated slow motion routine before serving. Very much that "are you seeing what I'm doing here"? Especially when time is running out on the last game.
Another younger guy holds his racquet up vertically in front of his face with the ball pressed to it and then holds that pose for about 5 seconds minimum while staring into the other court.

Also the Shapo bounce.

Any old guys doubles interaction, to complete the idea.

Edit: By old, I mean guys past a 10 years older than me moving threshold.

- Literally everything Nadal does before he serves
- Gamesmanship grunting. If i had to single a player out, i would say Azarenka. Her high pitch owl mating call is unbareable.
- Tsitsipas's bathroom breaks
- Kyrgios audibly talking to himself in the third person after losing a point or game saying stuff like "What you doing bro? What was that?"

Nothing else really springs to mind as a specific player, on the whole i would say a long time ball bouncing or constantly going for towels between points even if its an ace can be irratating but that's a few players, not just one.

Doesn't Karatsev do something similar? Maybe when waiting for the serve.

That’s just his ready position. I think the poster is talking about weird service tics. Like getting into the service motion pose, then standing like a statue for 5 seconds “finding your center” or some BS before actually serving.

Thanks. I think it looks weird, though haha!

The little fist tap on the thigh when getting ready to return a serve. I think Sharapova did this and now a lot do.

Also strange that it seems only women players who do this. Never seen a male player do it.

While we're on Sharpova, her walking back to the fence to regain her focus while staring down at her racket--players are emulating her routine--waste of time.

Tracey Austin's hippity-hop dance --the men are doing it now too--I guess it's to wake up their sleeping legs?--looks ridiculous when the men do it.
