Wimbledon 2020 is likely, I admit that. But US Open was only his fault, and considering his whole attitude and behaviour this was due to happen once in his career at some point.
I remember years ago a reporter asked him if he wouldn’t be afraid that something like that could happen with his behavior, and he laughed it off. Good that now he knows there was no reason to laugh. Being able to behave is part of sportsmanship, so I think one lost Slam on that is fair. If only he would have learned from it and not behaved like a maniac in the next tournament (Rome) again.

No chance as the UK public will on Saturday force the Government to release lockdown. There is a huge protest being planned apparently and likely will tun very violent if what is being posted on social media is anything to go by. Apparently it is part of some global protest on Saturday.
Governments probably will release lockdowns fairly soon as mass civil disobedience is not an option.
Wimbledon will go ahead and there will be close to full crowds. Almost certain of it.
The vaccines have worked so it does seem covid is a thing of the past thankfully.

I don't think it'll be cancelled this year. Even if the pandemic is still raging in summer they will probably work to find a way around it. Wimbledon has already reached out to most people who got tickets for the 2020 event to ask them what they would prefer in terms of arrangements etc - should fans be allowed in.
According to current roadmap we are supposed to have completely lifted restrictions by 21 June (including reopening of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and other indoor facilities). A lot will depend on perceived success of the vaccine programme.

The UK is currently way ahead of any other country in the number of vaccinations given with the possible exception of Israel.

British people apparently have not complied with rules as well as other nations citizens. Groups like the English Defence League whip up communities to take on the police. Lots of stuff has been unreported but UK seems to have an undercurrent of a sizeable minority who like to challenge authority. Australians are in the main more polite and more deferential to authority.

Difficult to compare. Most countries are following the manufacturers recommendations and giving doses 2-3 weeks apart. Britain has gone it's own way and injected lots of people but not vaccinated that many.

I think it is likely to run with reduced attendance. The main worry at the moment is the spread of new variants. And lots of idiots behaving as if they are immune because they have had one dose of a vaccine.

They said another cancellation is out of the question and they’ll do anything to avoid that, even if it has to be played in close quarters.
