Ah, I was in Marrakech for about a week too end of '14, travelled east over the Atlas mountains to the Sahara as well as west to Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. Loved the architecture, bread, mint tea and tagines of course. Your french should have came in handy, no?Marrakech brings back distant memories for me...a long strange trip from London via jet and a week there and on the Atlantic coast nearby, my curiosity piqued a bit by this song:
Not quite...about 11 years after my last non-jet Transatlantic flight (20 hours total) from New Jersey to Paris with pit stops in Gander Newfoundland and Shannon Ireland. We were a B&W TV family before I left and color when I came back seven years later via a Boeing 707 in 6.5 hours. Was that before colour TV was invited and jets refueled every 2000km?
The real question is did Rick's Cafe Americain also relocate southward???didn't realize they moved from casablanca to marrakech last year !
Confirmed
Bailamos!

tricky... not really the easiest draw grigor could expect in such a tournament !
Clay master Robredo as a potential first match on dirt this year!tricky... not really the easiest draw grigor could expect in such a tournament !
I see Misty Zverev but where is brother Al?
Getting comfy in M-C, I would imagine.I see Misty Zverev but where is brother Al?
Bien sûr et naturellement. How the weeks fly on the tennis circuit.Getting comfy in M-C, I would imagine.
Bottom half definitely would have been more to Grigor's liking, but one match their is a great one in the first round; Coric vs. Schwartzman. Bad luck for Coric in particular as the Schwartz was in strong form on South American clay recently.tricky... not really the easiest draw grigor could expect in such a tournament !
2 QFs and a R16 and the biggest win was vs Delbonis...meh.Bottom half definitely would have been more to Grigor's liking, but one match their is a great one in the first round; Coric vs. Schwartzman. He figures he might actually be able to win this one
Why does the guy to the right look like a well tanned Jack Sock? The king has arrived
Diego in top form. Dream final.Diego is a clay mini-GOAT
I've erased that from my memoryDiego Schwartzman is in the draw though, remember what happened last time they played:
The king has arrived
Tommy sets up the 2R matchup with The Young Camel Jockey, beating Staks 4&4. Could be a good one!
hoping for a good clay start for sir grigor of the atlas !Young Camel Tamerer vs Old Super-Mini Clay GOAT
unexpected loss...
Another Meles dream shattered by Coric playing like amor y paz vs Timidnator at Miami'16, saving 13/14 BPs and sending Diego "GOAT" to tend the camel corral 3 & 2.Diego in top form. Dream final.
I saw a bit of the match and Coric definitely getting back on track.Another Meles dream shattered by Coric playing like amor y paz vs Timidnator at Miami'16, saving 13/14 BPs and sending Diego "GOAT" to tend the camel corral 3 & 2.
If Dimitrov manages to lose this..........
Schwartzman is out, though. When Diego Schwartzman's a rocking!
I think he's plenty capable of thatIf Dimitrov manages to lose this..........
Schwartzman is out, though.
I think he's plenty capable of thatOn a serious note, even if he's the favourite, the field is not to be underestimated. Ramos-Vinolas can be a serious threat on Clay and anyone between Coric, Vesely and to a lesser extent Quinzi may GOAT his way to the Title. Luckily those are all in the other half of the Draw, but we never know. Heck, even Robredo may have a shot at sending him home if he finds a grain of his old form! I don't know if he ever won two matches in a row since his return from injury, but he still is an expert veteran, a more than decent Clay-Courter and someone you need to beat playing with consistency; plus, at least for what concerns the first set, Stakhovsky didn't really make him sweat.
Hopefully Dimitrov will win and show me that between his resurgence and his poor Indian Wells and Miami performances the latter have been the exceptions.
If Robredo were to win vs The Young Camel Jockey, it would be Tommy's first winning streak at ATP level since Shenzhen'15.Schwartzman is out, though.

Quinzi? You think he can win the title? Has he even won an ATP match before in his life?Schwartzman is out, though.

He hadn't played an ATP main draw match until today.Quinzi? You think he can win the title? Has he even won an ATP match before in his life?
At times you can witness pure craziness in these Tournaments. He won Wimbledon Junior and looked very promising, then suddenly disappeared from the scene. I don't know if he'll ever become a steady Top 100 Player or something and I honestly don't care, but I don't see why he wouldn't GOAT his way to an ATP 250 once.Quinzi? You think he can win the title? Has he even won an ATP match before in his life?
