I'm watching a french stream (http://www.desportogratis.com/event2.html). They just showed Fed's footwork and it looked way to slow and heavy than he used to be, even 1 yr back. And his backhand looks like 3rd tier except some glimpses of brilliance. Apart from this, Istomin is serving really great and he has a good forehand. Although his backhand seems avg as well and Federer could attack there.

P.S. - Istomin looks like a rock-star.

Even with the break, i dont feel like its safe. Istomin's forehand looks pretty good and he's certainly got the speed around the court and keeping up with everything Federer is doing. I want the match vs Dimitrov but i have a feeling that playboy Stepanek could stop baby fed progressing whilst papa fed gets knocked out here.

Istomin isn't a nobody. He's ranked much lower than his capabilities. When he's on, he's a pretty good player. He's not top 10 material, but he isn't a scrub either.

Still, Federer shouldn't be losing to him.
