Crisp, fairly soft and with control at low tension?

Used to multi but open to poly too. Does a string like that exist? I like X one in my ps85 at low tension, but multi is so so for me in other frames. I like Cream but it is a bit harsh and not good at low tension. 4G is ok but a bit wire like, any suggestions? A more controlled multi but still crisp, or a softer poly that is also still crisp...

I tried all of them:

Signum pro X perience feels pretty soft, but still crisp. It is easy on the arm. Is has a little texture, so high spin potential.
Signum Firestorm is not as soft, but still not harsh, very powerful. Some pros are using it
Scorpion is older, quite powerful and soft feeling, offering a lot of control

My favourite would be Firesstorm.

If I can add...if you're per chance familiar with Hyper G, X-perience is like that but with a little bit more ball pocketing and power.

You can also always try a hybrid. Poly mains + multi crosses.

Gosen has some real value/performance multis recently... Remplier at mid/low tensions is crispish (even though Gosen labels and categorizes under soft feeling) - not sluggish at all in my experience and holds tension very well. Really very stretchy on stringing, but settles into a crisp stringbed with good bite. Have that in a Pro Kennex Golden Ace for some time now.
Likewise, Gosen "soft feeling" Laytex Plus stretches less on stringing and is quite crisp - less total experience with this one.
Again, Gosen seems to be really innovative...

ok, maybe I got it wrong then. The ones I listed are not dead, they are more lively poly strings, but still work very well at low tensions for me . I string them at 20 kg.

I don't need much spin, i just want fairly dead, crisp strings that work well at low tensions

In my experience, multis don't work well at lower tensions, but it's different in a PS85. NXT Control is the most control oriented multi I have tried.

Topspin Cyber Flash is not very crisp, but it has an interesting feature; it has exceptional feel on touch shots, which is rare in the polyester world. It is a round poly, and works really well on flatter shots in my opinion. Really good string.

Have you tried any 17 ga. syn. gut? They're more crisp than typical multis, but also moderately soft. I can play with this stuff in my racquets seven days a week with no issues, but even a low-tension poly hybrid will charge me a heavy penalty.

I've never been too wild about Gosen OGSM in a full bed - it usually feels too tinny and harsh for me compared with other syn. guts like Kirschbaum or Volkl Classic. But then at the end of the summer I put a bed of 17 ga. OGSM into one of my Volkl C10's tensioned down at 54 lbs. instead of my typical 57-58 lb. layout. Much better feel at lower tension and also very good durability. I don't like string beds that are too soft and when I recently tried this string down at 52 lbs., that was a little too mushy and unpredictable.

You might also get a combo of crispness, deadness, and moderate softness with Prince SG w/Duraflex in the 17 ga. option. The 16 ga. version of PSGD is usually too clunky for me. If Kirschbaum's syn. gut becomes readily available again, that string is the smoothest syn. gut I've ever used - try it in either gauge if you can.

You should give a go to Head Velocity. It's been discussed to death here, I'm sure you'll find the thread. I'm using it for the same reasons as you and I love it.

I am grooving on HyperG Soft 18 crosses at 44 lbs in a hybrid with VS17 at 48 on a Pure Strike Tour. A lot of control, good spin/bite and comfortable for a poly. I haven’t tried it full bed.

I tried Solinco Tour Revolution 18 at 30#. It hit fine. The problem I had with super low tension was not the playability, but the lack of sound. If you're already using a fairly low tension, you probably don't even notice it. Plus, I'm normally a natural gut user, so low tension was a necessity for me when trying poly.

Signum Pro Poly Plasma Pure 17g (poly) with Alphagut 2000 16g (multi) crosses.
I use this in my POG 20th Anniversary. It's also very cheap.

What do you think i prefer between Hurricane tour 17 1,25, MSV focus hex and hex soft at low tension, like 40?

Prince Synthetic Gut - seriously. I think we all try a bit too much. Multi's are great if you want soft but they generally won't have a clean and crisp feel. Polys will last longer but are all stiffer. In some ways, for the last 30 years, PSG, not natural gut was the gold standard that all strings derived from. Natural gut is great but by the late 80's, early 90's, most people were not using it.
But PSG was it. It dominated the market. So multi's started coming out for those who wanted a bit more pop out of a string. Or poly's for those who wanted a bit more durability than PSG. But at its core, PSG was the standard b/c it did everything fairly well.

Volkl cyclone 18. The regular not the tour. It does have some crispness I guess you could say, but it had decent comfort for how wirey and stiff it was. At 45 lbs I thought it had great control compared to TB Soft, hyper-g at the same tension.

Multis & polys have very different characteristics. If you found Cream harsh then it’s going to be tough finding any poly comfortable.

I recommend trying one of the tecnifibre all-in-one hybrids like triax or HDMX. They are essentially a blended multi/poly and sometimes others ingredients, all in one string.

Other than that, Velocity is a more controllable multi, but still very much a multi.

Ashaway Monogut ZX is another interesting option. It’s a Zyex based string. Zyex is powerful and soft like a multi, but smooth and slick like a poly so provides a bit crispness and more control through spin potential. It can be hard to track down, but it is available.

A hydrid of your NXT and a soft poly, like Cream, might also provide the feel you are after.

Best of luck.

I’ve used a lot of different strings but have not found any that are crisp at low tension. I guess it depends on what a players description of crisp is.
