Daniil Medvedev is the unflappable epitome of modern tennis

Nadal fan here. So I was browsing TTW today and found this post:

I thought to myself. Is this for real? It must be a fluke right? Until I found this:

He's ridiculously good. I mean... I can barely wrap my head around it... and that's pre-prime?? Unfortunately, I was too uninterested to witness baby Medvedev.
It's only now, after days of focusing only on his USO win over Djokovic, that I'm beginning to realise it.

I don't care about "ugly strokes" anymore. It's overblown. His heavy topspin strokes, two handed backhand and all-court style make it much more difficult to play high pressure points. Federer can servebot + junkball and Djokovic can redirect energy like a lego pyramid whereas Medvedev has to be unflappable and generous. Do you think those two could've sustained the late Zverev/Tsitsipas years with such playstyles? No! Everything is different now. The field has evolved. Medvedev managed to dominate a completely different generation of tennis. That to me is timeless genius!

Nobody upholds standards of unfappability the way Daniil Medvedev does. This sport was not created for pointynance and brioche play, it was created for winning.
Daniil Medvedev is the unfloppable cumulonimbus of everything that came before in tennis. Period.

His groundstrokes look like if a talented 12 year old paid a visit to Zoltar. He probably learned to hit his backhand from a Canadian version of Mr. Miyagi; "show me, shovel the sidewalk"
