ahh, i hope he meant it that way but why isn’t that in the description as it certainly is a major differentiator from other frames.

Look under the Impact Shield Technology part of the description.

Impact Shield Technology (IST), reinforces the frame with a proprietary foam injection that deflects harmful shockwaves at contact and reduces overall vibration. Our IST increases energy return and tremendously enhances the feel, giving you optimal performance.

I am really hoping to hear from you on this after you demo since you play with Angells too and being foam filled, I want to know how the feedback is on this :)

Thanks, totally missed that. Yeah, for sure I’m pretty curious myself and if you’d been any closer, I’d have told you to pop over for a hit. UPS tells me it’s in Jacksonville and don’t show a delivery date yet. Hope some decent string on it so I don’t waste time having it at the stringer.

Elevate
STRUNG WITH
VS Gut
RPM Blast Hybrid pack

Added some weight at the hoop and silicone after hitting with it for a couple hours the previous day. Now it feel more solid and dampened than before. At the time playing with it off the shelf felt a bit too hollowed... We are currently working around the SW tweaking it here and there... Very great up at net as I was able to easily put away shots fired. Felt great on served and I had a bigger sweet spot than my current setup (Ultra Tour) could be the 16/20 pattern. I am sure it is my tennis abilities more than the racquet, but I had a hard time placing my FH & BH. Still working on the timing...

As Diadem Team mentioned... This is a players racquet that is meant to be molded to it's master...

Would I drop what I am currently using?
Yes I would because I love supporting Diadem... They seem to be on the cutting edge of tennis products from their strings to now this... Not too many companies are willing to take the financial risk anymore. To have a successful string company looking to break through the racquet game which is highly dominated by the Big 3 already is amazing... They can not afford to drop anything less than Heat... I think they are on the right path... It became more well known around here with the USTA Mid Atlantic Jr. Seem to be trending and we all know that is the most important thing for marketing right now. It became the hipster strings that all the cool kids play with... Trust me I see these kids every weekend at tournaments. Fame is everything... Diadem has that swag and feel so just for that I think they will have a successful launch.

The only thing I felt needed a change was the paint job... It still needs a bit of work... The Nova is on point in the designs but I feel the Elevate could have some more razzle dazzle... I felt the gradiency could had been more enhanced. The blend isn't quite perfect. Love the concept. The matte doesn't give the hi end feel. Diadem suppose to be the crown jewel of all things... I think they needed to come stronger with their Paint. The specs are printed on the 3 and 9 with those lines which seems a bit out of place. Having all the markings for tie off and mains/crosses however missing a center dot indictor is an interesting move. For the stringers it is vital to pick up an unfimilar racquet and know exactly where to place it. No matter how long stringer has in their game, clearly marked center points are better than none.

IMHO opinion you should consider also releasing an extended version of the Elevate - +0.25 or +0.5 inch.
I often see people going for prostocks and custom frames like Angell do to lack of XL frames on the market.

Also you might consider a slight improvement in the grommet design so the strings don't sit flat on the side grommets. Just like Tecnifibre did...
HORSEBACK_IMG.jpg

The above is not patent protected AFAIK.

Regardless of the above if your spec QC is as good as the poster above wrote, with a good starting range of frames and foam filled frames I think you can take over the players who know good product when they see one.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys. We need an honest and reliable racquet manufacturer on the market who cares about what they're selling to us.

Thanks for your feedback and opinions.

We tested both Elevate and Nova in .25 and .50 inches longer during the development process. I definitely see the opportunity for these options to be available in the future.

Elevate is going to be a great platform frame for players who like to tune their rackets, yet still reaches a majority of the straight of the shelf market.

We are excited to continue to connect with and bring solid foam filled frames to the market.

Hope you get the opportunity to try out the frames in the near future!

Keep us posted!

@haqq777 Jut got the Elevate today and it’s strung with SP. Took it out for a hit with a friend and this is a nice frame. Comfort is quite good with a feel that is different from Angell. It’s not as dampened in feel and nice big sweet spot although SP I’m sure helps with that. Nice pop, spin and pretty tempered angle. I took a few serves and immediately connected with good precision like I’ve hit it before. Certainly very light and needs some weight. Quick update on the first hit ;)

Exactly how I would describe it... I had to add some lead and silicone however trying to keep the BAL as close as possible... Moved the SW up a bit and now it is a solid racquet... I am excited to seen how thier launch will be once TW has it on demo...

How do you feel on the design?
Do you agree that maybe with the text and art work still needs to be done...

Yeah, to be honest design wise the colors are not my favorite but I see they were trying to go perhaps a bit different and same time portray Diadem colors. I m glad they didn’t make to busy overall as I am not a fan of overkill graphics that some deploy. After my hit last night, I added 3g @12 to up the SW and added more weight top of the handle. Overall, the frame now sits at 336.2g and 32.4cms balance. And yes, the Tennis t-shirt i got is good quality too ;)

Exactly what I would have recommended to bring it up to decent swingweight. Now the bigger question: how similar a ball does it hit when compared to the PSTGT ;) lol

+1 for extended length options. There are very few extra length frames available at the moment. That would set Diadem apart from many competitors.

so the elevate feels crisper and less flexible than the tc 95 63ra ? (i guess the k7 feels more comfortable anyway)

Yeah, that wasn’t what I was referring to. Angells generally and regardless of flex have a dampened feel. This racquet is less so and connection with the ball is good. Some people get used to the dampened feel after a while and still find the good touch and others do not. I personally like the feel of the Angells since I’ve played a lot with them. This one is simply an easier connection with feel. TC95 is not overly flexy and neither is this frame.

Got my Elevate demo strung with Diadem shapped poly, here are intial impressions after hitting for about an hour:

Soft, controlled, spinny feel, but has some punch if you flatten out. Stringbed is generous but also somewhat vague. Dampner is a must, some vibes coming through the handle otherwise.

Despite low SW on paper, this frame can still be played stock - has solid feel down low. Though I like a very, consistent, solid response, so I added 1g at 12 and 2g at 3+9, plus heavy dampner...will need to work on this more.

To compare to other rackets I'd say this plays sorta like more comfortable, more open pattern Head Graphine Speed Pro, but starts out lighter.

I whipped out my leaded DR98 Light and at 345 SW that played firmer than Elevate, with more power and spin, but also tighter control for the most part.

how would you classify the elevate regarding feel (crisp, smooth, soft etc.) and comfort in comparison to the lm radical and the wilson ultra tour ?
thanks

Currently
got my elevate to a 330 SW
how would you classify the elevate regarding feel (crisp, smooth, soft etc.) and comfort in comparison to the lm radical and the wilson ultra tour ?
thanks

If i would say the feel is more smooth as you get a nice contact and power. Huge sweet spot however does take from the control... I would say compared to the Ultra Tour this has way more potential to customize. Ultra came in pretty firm and solid as a frame. The elevate off the shelf feels pretty light. The ultra was my main racquet so that was the only feedback i can give. If you liked the ultra then you would enjoy this. If Wilson made a 16x19 Ultra Tour frame... i think that would be amazing

It’s softer than LM Radical about same softeness as Ultra Tour (but not as smooth) and more spinny response than both (more open pattern)

thanks for the reviews guys - looking forward to some reviews on the Nova.

I may have looked at it wrong but it seems like the specs for the nova & nova light are listed as the same on the website so it must be a mistake on the website.
This one looks like it may be a competitor to rackets in the pure aero spec range.
I like the fact that it’s foam-filled.

Yes, this recently was brought to our attention.

The correct weight for Nova Lite is 285 grams / 10.0 oz

Does any one else think that $209 a frame is a pretty high price point for a new to the market racquet when there are proven racquets already on the market?
Proven? How exactly? Popular does not equal "good" - look at Babolat products.

As for Diadem racquet prices... if the quality is there - in both build and QC .-then NO.

I have hit with the demo around 5 hours and after the first hit, i added 3g @12 and more weight top of handle making it just a tad over 336g. This is not an overly flexy frame and comfort is not an issue. It does also have a nice responsive feel and a big sweet spot. Fairly easy to get accustomed to and adding the weight certainly helped with what otherwise was too light of a racquet for me. Ground strokes are easy to adjust arc and good spin is easily available. I was fairly dialed in on both sides and precision perhaps not top notch but good. Serves are easy to adjust to and targeting also seemed to come quickly. Volleys are pretty good from the standpoint of feel and the big sweet spot, just needs more authority. Mainly, that is the draw back for me, it overall lacks authority in hitting even with the extra weight. The demo string is Diadem SP which is a powerful poly yet didn’t give this frame enough punch to truly dictate like the Angell TCs or PSGTT. This is a nice first racquet for Diadem and only thing i missed was a bit more authority and weight on the ball without having to add weight to get it north of 350g.

Yes, that's pretty much what I found - racket does feel pretty good but is missing some potency. What you call "lack of authority" I described as "vagueness".

i´m sorry to bother you again
since you mentioned that the dr 98 plays firmer, would you say that the elevate is at least as comfortable as the dr 98.
in my view the dr 98 (modified to 340gr and 335 sw) is really comfortable, especially the muted feel doesn´t result in a harsh crisp feedback if you don´t hit the sweetspot.
for example, the angel tc 97 is just acceptable in terms of crispness.
so how would you compare the elevate to the dr98 in that regard.
thanks

Elevate is softer, more comfortable than even DR98.

thanks to a tennis shop from the netherlands i also got the chance to demo the elevate:

with two overgrips (the demo was in L2), 3 gr. at the buttcap and 4 gr. in total at 3 and 9 o´clock, the total weight was 339 gr.
i didn´t measure the swingweight, but i doubt that even after this modifications it is higher than mid-320s, since it feels similat to a stock dr 98.
i strung the racquet with velocity/cream at 24/23 kg. since my hitting partner plays with a yonex dr 98 (unmodified) and also with velocity/cream it was easy to compare the two racquets.

my impressions are in general in line with the other reviews.
the elevate has a big sweetspot, and the spinpotential is as expected from a 16x20 pattern, which means there is a good length control on backhand drives but also the potential to get enough net clearance and hit a loopier ball. the stability, even at this low swingweight is good.
in comparison to the dr 98 the elevate is firmer at the throat, but relatively soft at the head, which in combination with the big sweetspot prevents a harsh feedback and makes it feel really comfortable albeit it not flexible).
i would also say that the elevate is slightly more powerful than the dr 98 and in my opinion doesn´t lack authority.

I think that the standard Elevate has a swingweight low enough to just cut it longer and move the lead weight in the handle slightly lower to make it as head light as the standard. Layup changes are not necessary IMHO.

A question, although it is very early where are we on the Elevate XL topic?

I just strung my Elevate racquet yesterday. I used it last night. A very good control racquet. It plays similar to a Wilson 97. The racquet improve my backhand and volley. The racquet has the same control and power on my serve and forehand. I strung the racquet at 53 with16 Diadem Power strings. My son will use it in a 18 open tournament in the future. A lighter player racquet. A solid racquet for a pro to use in a 3 set match. Control-9 Power-7 Topspin-9 flat-7 Serve-8 volley-8 Slice-8

I have used the Elevate for more than a month now and there isn’t anything turning me back. I agree with most of the reviewers but the lack of authority was a bit true. Most racquet I have used before has that finishing feel which initially thought the racquet lacked, however now it doesn’t even matter as my game has improved and no arm issues!

I don't really like putting lead on my racquets. lead is cancerous. I did use silicon in the handle. Diadem injected foam threw the body. Head had a racquet injected with foam. Pro Kennex had a racquet injected with sand to stop the vibration.

Lead doesn't cause cancer. It can cause neuropathy, stomach pain and confusion. But its not a carcinogen.

You should demo both. Elevate is more player frame oriented whereas Nova is more tweener category. I have just read up on both and haven't played with them so hopefully someone who has played with both can chime in.

Dang $35 dollars to demo one racquet? Steep!

Who sells these in the States or is the only way to buy these direct from diadem?

Also is the whole frame foam filled or just certain areas?

We are getting picked up by brick and mortar shops across the country. We have been very happy with the feedback and success of rackets being sold so far!

Elevate is completely foam filled.

Nova and Nova lite are throughout the head and into the throat.

I’ve lurked on the forum for quite a while after getting back into tennis after a 15 year hiatus and found it extremely helpful in finding info on different racquets and thought it was my turn to pay it forward. I’ve been using a few different racquets in the last few months including the Pure Drive and Pure Strike, a Prince Phantom Pro 100, and an Angell TC95 63RA 310 g. The only racquet I absolutely hated was the Yonex VCore Pro 97 310 g; I couldn’t play more than half a set with it and did not gel at all. Ever since I started playing again, I’ve had some shoulder soreness after playing to varying degrees. The Phantom feels awesome, but I find it to be too underpowered. The Pure Drive is fun to play with but lacks control and also aggravates the shoulder more so than the others as expected. The Pure Strike is an all around performer but still caused some shoulder pain which is manageable; however, I also feel something is lacking in terms of touch. I bought the Angell from a forum member which was great but found the weight to be too much for my shoulder. I was ready to spec out my own Angell until I stumbled on this thread and found the Elevate specs to be intriguing specifically being foam filled which I really liked the feel of from using the TC95. I decided to take the plunge and have my impressions below after two sessions of playing with it. All racquets I’ve been using have been strung with a 16g multifilament around 52-55 lbs for consistency.

I may have found a winner from both a performance and pain perspective in this racquet. First time around I played the first set with the Elevate and second with the Pure Strike and second session had both sets with the Elevate. I had no shoulder issues whatsoever while using the Elevate, however found the pain coming back right after switching to the Pure Strike. I wasn’t sure if it was duration of play that may have contributed, but second session playing 2 sets with the Elevate resulted in zero pain as well!

If that wasn’t enough, I felt the Elevate played better than the Pure Strike as well. Perhaps slightly muted compared to the Pure Strike, but in a good way providing the touch/feel/connection that I felt was missing from the Pure Strike. Power is sufficient, and control/accuracy is superb. This is the first time since returning to the sport that I feel like I may have found the perfect fit for me. The only criticism I have is to echo the sentiments of the paint job quality that others have mentioned. I love the color scheme and design but feel that the uniform eggshell finish is dated compared to what others in the industry are doing (e.g. matte, glossy, metallic, etc.). I feel compelled to unload my 2 Babolats as I have no desire to go back to either after these first sessions with the Elevate, although I can see myself switching between the Phantom for fun and maybe still spec-ing out a TC95 as I can’t help myself or grabbing a second Elevate. Overall, Diadem has produced a winner with the Elevate and it’s good to see another company step in to produce quality foam filled frames.

Hi someone has tested the nova or elevate? I have only one prince exo3 tour 100 team, im 15 years old i want a similar racquet not for prince but with more weigth. My playstyle is baseliner very good 2hdbh and a forehand like zverev mediocre and good serve because im 6,3 ft of tall so help me and i want a thinner beam

Grabbed demo of the new FS Nova and thought it was a pretty good racquet. Pretty easy on the arm tweener and makes life simple on the court. It is obviously pretty light in stock form and it was strung up with a soft round diadem poly called flash. I am buying the frame and will experiment with it a bit more. I’ll add a leather grip and weight in the hoop and see how it goes with one of the polys I like.
