Good info thanks guys.
I think its time to huff some graphene, I need to put together a demo box, what is the overall take on the speed pro?
Stiff, bulky, hits a lazer of a ball. It reminded me of a slightly faster / cleaner hitting Pure Strike Tour. Any flat ball is awesome with the speed pro.

Intrigued. The Pure strike tour is a monster. Effortless redirect of pace. Hmmmm
To all the holics that are proud owners of the PS85, I think I have found the goldilocks string setup in this racquet. Babolat Tonic + Ball Feel/Head Lynx 16 at 23/20.5kg. Insane performance and feel, highly recommend it
Yeah I can't say enough about tonic +. It lasts forever, so I really don't have to think about stringing very often at all anymore. Plus it just feels like tennis to go out there and play with it. It's just the ultimate pleasure to play with this setup for me.
FedK, you should try the prior version of the speed Pro. That frame is the same specs as the prestige MP and honestly probably as good, just stiffer (the PJ is kind of blah, but whatever). They are on sale as well, so it appears to be a no brainer for a demo.
You could demo the prestige MP and prior speed pro for a rather goat experience. To me these frames really require no customization, and are ready to be hit with out of the box. The greatest combo of specs for me at least, as the balance is just perfection.

waiting impatiently for my GSP to arrive...
so why didn't you continue use it?
I like the graphene version much more than the xt version. For me, I got a lot more spin and ball bite with it. Great at the baseline and on serve. Think APD with 18x20... But less hollow feeling.
see thread title Roz
there are many racquets that I moved on from even though there was not a damn thing wrong with them
I can only imagine how ridiculous Tonic is in the 85. I have an ancient stringbed in mine because I just never really hit with it enough.
But when I do...

i know that most of you holics change just to change,
but i was specifically wondering why PP chose to ditch it..
after all he chose to stay with the GPMP, didn't he?

I never owned the GSP. I just hit with it a few times last year in Miami and liked it.
So I never ditched it.
a quicky...
a quicky...
Roz...I really liked the GSP but 18x20s for me offer more cons than pros.
Maybe you will like it. It has a nice clean, crisp feel at contact and offers lots of accuracy. I just needed more help mostly on serve and for powerful shots.
I just prefer the prestige, but I could play with the Speed if that makes sense.
I think you will really like the Speed pro. Especially the prior version. It is really nice.
Hey guys, looking for some input.
I'm going to add a few frames soon. Leaning toward the Six.One 95S and or the Rebel 98 ESP, to satisfy my curiosity about spin effect frames. Both are relatively cheap, so I'm considering getting both.
Additionally, I'm considering a Pure Drive. I've never hit with a Babolat of any kind. I've debated between it and the APD, but it seems that the Pure Drive is the more universally liked and kinda the quintessential Babolat frame.
But, I'm open to any suggestions and my only real limitation is that I don't particularly want a frame that would be classified as "similar" to the TFights I currently play. I'm looking for something different to pull out of the bag that will be fun to hit with.
You guys have any input regarding the Pure Drive v AeroPro Drive...or any other frames you would recommend taking a look at? I love reading all your thoughts on various frames, so I appreciate anything you can offer me.
Thanks

Hey Spinny, I think you'd really like either one. They are so similar that it really doesn't matter which one that you try. If you havent hit with it yet, I'd throw in the new yonex 98 variant.. think it's the S model. I'd like to hear your input on these couple of frames for sure
I'm planning to buy, not demo. I won't be"throwing" anything in. But, I have considered the Yonex EZONE Xi 98, since it is on sale.

Oh, sorry about that. I think you would really love a pd or apd. They're hard to beat.
will you be looking to unload one of your tecs? if so let me know. I have a spare graph pp if you're interested in a trade. or a straight buy.

Thanks guys...appreciate the feedback.
Klem - I'm pretty much set on getting one, if not both spin frames. If I go with the Xi 98, I would exclude the Pure Drive. How would you compare the Xi to the PD?
Jack - Do you mind if I ask why you would go with the APD over the PD? Just curious.
Question - what would your preferred string setup be?
I think picking a preferred setup and then a frame can make life a lot easier.
Look at what the postman dropped off at the office:
Price of being a 'holic in Canada:
Bionic Tfight 315 ltds. 16X19............. Delivered from Cali (Shout out to J-Gads)
TK82S Pallets..................... Delivered from the UK (.99c shipping FTW)
Total distance covered by packages: ~14,600 km, or 23,500 miles. You gotta love globalization.
Ehhh… You might wanna check your units there mate
I could, or you could do it for me Google maps is kinda sticky on mobile.

+1 on this.
If you like full poly and higher trajectories, plus all the ease of kick serves, go with a spin frame. If you don't like the feel of full poly, especially when the tension drops and the bed becomes erratic and unresponsive, don't go with the spin frames. Unless you're cool with restringing every frame after the 10 hour mark.
PD vs ezone xi98?
Hard to compare the two, really depends on your experience and opponents. But the PD, for me, is superior to the xi98 in every category except two big ones, comfort and control.
The PD has better touch/slice than the xi98 ( believe it or not ), better on serve, forehand, backhand, etc. BUT while the xi98 performs well in these categories, it is solid, very comfortable frame with a denser middle-bed.
I've always said it, if the PD was 63-65 ra, there would be no contest for me. The stiffness is not worth the results. To get it comfortable, you have to string in the 40's and below and then it turns into a trampoline. The APD is much the same for me.
Based on your feedback, I'd be inclined to risk the stiffness and go Pure Drive. I'll sell or trade if I don't like it. From what I've seen, Babolats are easy to flip.
Probably the easiest brand to resell in my experiences with friends selling theirs.
So, what are you hitting with these days Mikey? You settled in with something? Any plans to demo and continue the quest for the Grail?
Probably the easiest brand to resell in my experiences with friends selling theirs.
You know me. I'm never settled in
Since my club now carries HEAD frames, I've been demoing a ton lately. I'm still unsure of what type of frame I should be playing with, but so far I really enjoy the old speeds and instincts more than the new ones. So I'm leaning in that direction.
But there's also babolats pulling me the other way...and the new burn...
The quest continues, my friend haha.
I should mention that I've been working on my footwork and preparation with my instructor...getting these tree trunks to move is so difficult these days! Lol.
