Djokovic calls ATP finals pinnacle of the season

Nah, I don't think so, he is too consistent in his BS in order for it to be fake. What you base your assessment on?
He posts less these last weeks. Before he has been constantly saying strongly controversial affirmations, while pretending they are basic truths everybody agrees with.

Exemple : every expert says Nadal is the goat. Also nobody cares about indoor tennis. Or I am great player, you can trust me.

All of this, but not in a provocative mode, more in an educational mode. He is succeeding in trying to pass as a realistic nadfan jerk. The amount of dedication to make nadfans look bad is scary.

Apologies for contributing less. Slam season is over so much less to discuss.

Really? So as i said we agree its been a great year and will be remembered for Nadal making his20ry. It is nice we are in agreement and thank you for confirming you enjoyed the last two slams it is nice to see people still having fun given the ongoing pandemic. Not long to wait until AO. In meantime have a great festive break.

As I said, I enjoy tennis, so EVERY year is a great year that tennis is played....I don't need a certain player to win for it to be great.

Enjoy the festive break also! Jingle all the way.

Just go with "You're the disease ... and I'm the cure"

Haha.

"I don't deal with psychos....I put them away." ;)

Glad you agree with me. Ultimate saltiness is from FO.
I'm glad you're demonstrating yet again why we should make a big distinction between illiteracy and functional illiteracy. I've always believed that to be the case. Internet's been muddying the waters in that regard a bit, so it's always good to get a confirmation.

What do you mean not provocative? Everything he posts is an ATTEMPT at provocation. The problem is that it is all 1) stupid and 2) repetitive, so no one ever bites.

That would be scary indeed, such amount of dedication, to fake it consistently. He is a Djokovic hater for sure, so if you claim that he's no Nadal fan then he must be a Federer one. I'm more inclined to take him at face value, though, so I reckon he's a Nadal fan suffering from the Stockholm syndrome, never really recovered from years of being held hostage and mistreated by Fed fans.

One way or the other one of the most toxic and obnoxious ones around without a doubt, regardless of the motivation. I'm sure many from VB would agree. Hell, he borderline makes me like Rafa less thanks to his avatar, I have to fight my subconsciousness on that one lol

I mean that he is trying to pretend that he genuinely wants to educate people with his knowledge, while in reality he spreads ******** to trigger people. I think he is a super hardcore fedfan. And most people bite.

Internet has been around for circa 25 years bud. However we have agreed i was right as you made it clear the ultimate saltiness is to suggest a surface should be abolished. I do pity those with that view point but alas anyone can have an opinion, however ill-informed said opinion may be.

We could put it in another perspective: TTW experts know better than a man whose consciousness is deeply plagued by various conspirologies and anti-scientific neo-spiritual practices.
If Nadal wins the tour finals you’ll literally say it’s the most important tournament on tour bar the slams you joker.

Knowledge? That was a good one. This guy actually thinks that Rapistburger is a great QB. I know you're not American, so let me translate that for you: he is clueless about sports in general it seems.

You don't seem to understand my point : he is not stating his opinions, he is saying what he thinks will trigger people. I'm saying he got you on his web.

I got what you meant, I'm just not sure you're right. He doesn't really get to me cause it's all too stoopid and repetitive. But if his goal is to make Rafa fans look bad he's doing a good job, especially since there are a couple more pretty similar cases.

If you live in Germany, then you probably know that German language spoke say in Berlin is quite different from German language spoken in Bavaria.
Would those two be separate languages?

And you probably know that Swiss German is not 1 formal language, but a bunch of dialects.
So a person from Zurich might have issues understanding another person from Sankt Gallen or Basel.
Would those be 3 different languages as well?

Or would those all be dialects of "Hochdeutsch"?

You are partly right. As I said, technically it's possibly a dialect rather than language, but then again it's hard to understand. With the Swiss it's tough to tell, or as Tsitspas would say "You Swiss are all crazy people" :D I just wanted to point out that Swiss German definitely exists, which I thought was what you were doubting.

The context of the discussion which brought the whole issue up was whether Federer should get credit for learning Hochdeutsch as a foreign language, i.e. whether Schwiezer Dütsch and Hochdeutsch schould be considered separate languages for him. It's next to impossible to grow up in a German-speaking part of Switzerland and not learn Hochdeutsch, unless one's OK with staying illiterate. No credit for Federer there, it was just a small extension of his mother tongue, or to be precise his father tongue.

Agree in this context. I don't know how Federer was raised (with what language), but if Swiss people speak German (Hochdeutsch) it's (probably) not a new language for them (if they are born in the German language part).
