Is Mickey tennis no longer a thing for the Djokster? Did Lacoste do up the silhouette o' self?

Maybe Nole is very motivated to make big bellied idols of his childhood
lose weight and change their lifestyles by hiring them as coaches and
turning them into healthier idols he can live with :)
Yes. He is ever the altruistc protègé.
So...Next coach for Nolé: yevgeny lundgren, kafelnikov or Lendl?
Never will coach Nolé: rafter, pete, guga, wilander, noah, edberg, norman, and Johnny mac.
Meet me behind the back alley of Court 1 and I'll hook you up
Lol, so you're a dealer. See you this evening, right before the lights flicker on. I am so pumped to use my new forehand grips!

Its an addition of another version of his FH as new or future arsenal not a total change
Agassis Straight armed forehand at shoulder height with very simple wrist lag is evident.
This can only help improvise the FH certain situations like Noles need for more efficiently
timed winners taking it on the rise much like Fed off the BH as mentioned.
Murray hired Enquist for better return of serve knowledge and Mauresmo for that extra
masculinity required in his tennis and marriage :)

I can't believe anyone here seriously thinks that in a few days, Agassi can do anything to change Djoker's FH. Djoker has been hitting his FH one way his entire career, all the way back to the juniors. Djoker will never have a FH like Andre, their mechanics are completely different. People thought Lendl could somehow improve or change Murray's FH. It's not happening. These guys are ex-pros and part-time "coaches," they aren't miracle workers.

Anyway, Djoker has the right to this mindset: "I dominated tennis and became #1 with the FH I have. It's good enough." Andre was hitting bullet FH's when he was 11 or 12 years old. Djoker is never going to be able to dominate with his FH. Two different players.

Yeah…tinkering with technique could really mess him up. Will be interesting to see how this partnership fares.

Instead of f*ing around with his already great FH, Andre should be hitting him some overhead feeds.
his FH is a disaster, for an ATG.

It's good they're working on it, but the timing is off. It probably won't matter but not the smartest decision right now.

Great. Now it's gonna take another two months to perfect a change and that means he ain't winning FO or Wimbledon with such short notice changes. He might as well take rest like Fed and come back for USO

Well he's only won 1 FO, so not likely he wins without any change either.

Agassi is there to supply a new mindset. My theory:

Djoko after winning French open realised that he resented the time lost to his family more than he was happy to win it- this began to hate tennis and thus practise less and lose form. Andre always hated tennis by his own admission but later in his career found a way to get motivation from taking pride in a job well done rather than love for the game. Djoko having lost the love has hired agassi to help him build a new mental framework to motivate himself to perform at top level without it being his life as I hypothesise his previous team and especially Becker may have been about. Remember Becker wanted *more* time with him.

If it goes well I think agassi will be able to help djoko compartmentalise what is needed for his "job" so he can just get on with it, play well and enjoy his vegan new agey stuff that he is into in his own time- not have to go to the "always more" extremes that surely drove him in the past. Plus agassi must surely have something useful stuff to say about maintaining performance with an aging body

What're you ... pitching a horror film for us Fed and Rafa fanboiyeezh?
Penguin, if the studios pick this up, and If Dre and Nole can follow your script, we will have a new goat candidate in CROCovic.
Is there a fear button?
Kidding.

I would love to see nole play like a champion again....
And fight it out with the likes of raf, roger, muzzer, stan, thiem, sascha, jo, gael and company, this summer. Suddenly, this year became good time to be a fan of men's pro tennis.

Agreed he needs change to stay in the game but the full effect of the change is not going to come at short periods, is what I meant. If it works out in the medium to long term, he might come back good around USO or later.

Drop in testosterone production, increase in armotase activity enhancing the testosterone to estrogen conversion. Increase in sex hormone binding globulin, lowering free serum testosterone levels. Increase in gonadtrophin inhibiting hormone by the pituarity gland which in turns limits cholesterol conversion into progresterone, which is the sterodal precursor for testosterone. Lowering of growth hormone by the hypothalamus, as well as a drop in production of Insulin like growth factor 1, needed to create anabolic and fat burning environment. Lowered rates of T4 to T3 conversion in the thyroid due poorer iodine absorption, lowering basal metabolic, lowering muscle mass, increasing fat cell proliferation. Consumption of foods full of high fructose corn syrup which lower insulin sensitvity, as well wheat based products which contain amylopectin, a sugar more potent at raising blood sugar levels than table sugar, all causing the increase in overall weight.
Yes I concur Dr.Hitman...For the rest of you..Dr.Hitman and I are esteemed INTERNET physicians :p:eek::rolleyes:

Does anyone remember when nole hired Todd Martin to change his serve and it ended drastically. And the serve is a controllable shot with fewer variables.

I think Agassi is mostly there for mental. If anything it could have a very good short term placebo effect and give him confidence.

What's the verdict after the match with Gran? Backhand looked different, forehand looked different too.

Yes^
Maybe the mood.
Is it me or does he just look cooler and more comfortable in the sliiightly looser new clothes?
Was he getting smallishmediums (shmediums) from uniqlo? Looked like a spandex supercycling outfit.
And now he is wearing a Lacoste M or L...and he looks comfortable and cool ... like a tall version of rosewall.

Andre ain't changing any strokes. Andre is trying to change the mind which is where most of the weakness lies in Djokovic.

And Andre was the weakest mental player of all the ATG's until he was about 30. He tanked, he quit DC matches and was a disgrace out there. He was cringeworthy with his mental weakness and he always had that deer-in-the-headlight look against Pete. If Djoker hired Agassi to fix his mental problems, he might as well have hired Monfils to be his coach.
