Facebook account disabled, how to get it back?

So about three weeks ago I sent some pretty random friend requests to people I didn't know, I prob sent like 35 over the course of a minute. Then the next day I found out it was disabled. I didn't send any offensive content/post anything obnoxious. I'm wondering what exactly happened.

So I went to help center on facebook and posted my situation and then I got an email saying:

Hi,

At this time, we cannot verify the ownership of the account under this address. Please reply to this email with a scanned image of a government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license) in order to confirm your ownership of the account. Please black out any personal information that is not needed to verify your identity (e.g., social security number). Rest assured that we will permanently delete your ID from our servers once we have used it to verify the authenticity of your account.

Please keep in mind that fake accounts are a violation of our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. Facebook requires users to provide their real first and last names. Impersonating anyone or anything is prohibited.

In addition to your photo ID, please include all of our previous correspondence in your response so that we can refer to your original email. Once we have received this information, we will reevaluate the status of the account. Please note that we will not be able to process your request unless you send in proper identification. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks,

And then I gave them a picture of my driver's license with blacked out parts but then I got a message saying:

its a messy situation and I don't know what to do. I'd contact facebook but each time I try, it seems like I get the same automated response from above. and I was going back and forth with a hot girl too. There is a lot of smart people here, and I got over a 500 friends and a lot of information in my inbox so I really don't want to make a new one.

I don't know, since the error message reads "Message size exceeds fixed limit", maybe try to reduce the message size? The scanned pic of your license is probably too large, try to shrink it, if it's a .bmp, save it as .jpg or something like that.

Dude, theres no way to delete a FB account.

You can always re-instate it.

Also, the govt issued ID requests are bogus.

I had some kind of spambot thing hack my facebook and send a link to some virus filled website to everyone of my friends, and then when I logged on my account was suspended. All i had to do was click on a link that the facebook administrators had sent me and change my password for it to get reinstated.

FB does NOT actually delete your account smarta$$

There is a lawsuit going on right now about this.

FB keeps your account and does NOT actually delete any of your data.

Its a false sense of security they give.

Do a little research before insulting me moron.

Ummm, no. Maybe you should update your research before insulting me, moron.

If you go to that link and delete your account, and then you don't log back in for 14 days it'll be gone forever. If you do log back in within 14 days then you have your account back. This is completely different from the Deactivate option they had before, that is when you couldn't delete your account.

What he's saying is that, in spite of your account being irretrievable by yourself, the files associated with your account are still there for them to query, forever.

Can you find a link about this lawsuit? I'm interested in hearing about this, and the only lawsuits I can find against facebook are directly involved with their privacy TOS under California law. There was a separate investigation by the Canadian government back when you could only deactivate your FB account, but I haven't seen a lawsuit based on that.
