Connors won 2 small titles in the year he tuned 36. Did nothing of note in the majors.

Federer won multiple slams in the year he turned 36. He is the oldest player to win multiple majors in a season.

Yes but a lot of tournaments consisted only of 3 or 4 rounds.

Hence why he could play 23 tournaments. That number jumps out at you though.

The winning % is of only distant secondary importance compared to what actual tournaments a player wins unless the OP is equating 4/10 (4 slams ) as equivalent to 4/10 (4 ATP 500) just because the % is the same.

It's not quite accurate to put Andre on the list. His last hurrah was the 2005 USO when he was 35. He was playing with steroid injections before every match in 2006 and was clearly in pain. No movement and no ability to run to his FH. A shell of his former self.

Clay is an extraordinarily tough surface for older guys.

Kinda shows how much the tour has changed when 2006 Agassi plays half of the majors and a good chunk of the season and gets ranked 150 while Rosewall, Laver and Connors did about the same or less and still managed to remain in the top 10.
