I've got one on its way as well. I hope, I will test it before my Heptonic reel run out. I'll switch, if it's better. But it's hard to beat Heptonic for the softness, spin and price. I wonder, what would be the price tag? Anyone?

I'm a huge fan of Genesis strings, and use the Hexonic a lot. How does the Solinco Tour Bite compare to Typhoon? I have yet to try the Solinco out.

Well, let me start with this. All strings theoretically will revert back to equilibrium when stretched. Now in the real world, this is called tension maintenance. All strings initially become looser exponentially and then lose tension less and less over time. Even when you've had a racquet strung after 20 years, and you think its tension cannot go any lower, technically it is, just in such small increments that no human could notice. Obviously, strings in the real world will never revert back to equilibrium unless cut out of their frame. Now then, how this is relevant to what I said. Thinner strings naturally have a weaker penchant towards maintaining resistance to reaching equilibrium. That said, I hope you catch what I've said

Strung it up at 58 on a BLX Six One 95 16x18.
Open the package and the string was so tangled it took me 5 minutes just to get it managable to cut into 2 pieces to string. Pain in the arse.
Strung it up with no issues, took the normal stringing time to complete for me.
Played next morning and was very surprised as I was expecting something harsh and stiff. It was very soft and plush. More powerful than I expected also. Volleys were nice and serves were on target. No real magical powers however. Price point would be the determining factor for me.
Round 2 tomorrow morning.

Hit again this morning after letting it sit for a couple of days. Not a lot of tension loss but some, still feels plush. Serves still good. It is a softer than the typhoon as i have that in my other stick right now. I happen to like it and would definitly buy a reel depending on cost.

The thinner strings definitely lose tension faster. Do they go dead faster, well they stretch more on contact and over time the strings will lose elasticity faster than the thicker strings. So my guess is yes.We are talking about the same string just in a different diameter.

alu is not horribly stiff.
it goes dead quickly and at that point it kills your arm.
I string both Black Magic and Typhoon in the 57-58 range and they are both pretty soft compared to other poly.
BM is definitely softer and with more feel.
Typhoon has fantastic control and good spin.
But if you are in love with gut there is no way your are gonna like poly, doesn't matter the manufacturer.
Considering that so many colleges are using Genesis strings, I would NOT say that Genesis is a crappy company.
Let's say that those strings don't sing in your hands.
