I am eager to see where nadal will end up. I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to the mac/becker level.
Yeah I think he will end up with 3 Wimbledon titles.
Sampras without a doubt. No one comes close
65 votes for guy who lost to nadal in wimby finals
and who (year before) beat him in 5 sets
god...
Answer to the poll = Sampras, until Federer or Nadal prove otherwise.
Nadal? He's won one Wimbledon.. I don't see him winning 6 more. He could have won 3 though if it wasn't for the Federa
Agreed Sampras' 7 Wimbledons in 8 years is just unreal.
To do what? To see if he's magically become the grass GOAT efter winning Wimbledon once?I will come back to this thread in July-August after Jannik Sinner dominates Wimbledon this year, playing at a level far surpassing any version of Federer or Sampras
megafan just playin some game well i think you know what kind of game it is, just a reminderTo do what? To see if he's magically become the grass GOAT efter winning Wimbledon once?
Federer of course.. Federer beat Sampras when he (Federer) wasn't even in his prime yet.
Sinner has already surpassed Federer and Sampras by a wide margin on grass courts as it is. Pete and Fed’ biggest competitor was either Kabayashi,Tattoo, or a wide variety of plumbers and professional food eaters. Sinner plays true professionals. Peak Sampras and peak Fed would struggle through the qualifiers today. Occasionally, they’d break through, but then get gutted in the first round. Case in point, 2021 was the very peakiest form of Fed. He was straight-setted and bageled by the worst version of Hurkacz. I’m pretty sure Hurkacz got drunk before his match against Fed and was hungover during that match. The entire tour except Fed likely played with Covid. Fed retired because the tour was far more advanced than he ever was.I will come back to this thread in July-August after Jannik Sinner dominates Wimbledon this year, playing at a level far surpassing any version of Federer or Sampras
Yes, that is why players like Anderson, Kyrgios, Berretini whose performances at Roland Garros have not been good, have been Wimbledon finalists in their careers.I'd say Federer... but recently Wimbeldon slowed down the court and it almost plays like clay.
When did they start closing it down?
