The number of slams is great but it's not the only possible record in tennis. If Nadal won both Wimby and RG the same year, he would be the only one doing that since Borg and would have done something Fed never did. Personally, I find Nadal more exciting to watch regardless of # of slams won exactly like I found Agassi more entertaining than Sampras. Besides why couldn't Nadal win a dozen grand slams, he already has 4 at just 22, which is better than what Fed had at 22 and I have no doubt he will win many others in the future, his tennis on fast courts is improving steadily.

They shouldn't like Nadal now just because he's hot at the moment and Federer is performing less perfectly than previously. I like both, but I'm beginning to like Nadal more while gradually liking Federer less. I like Federer a lot, but his army of *******s here have got me content with Fed losing to just about any 2HBHer.

Nadal has a down to earth personality and appeals more towards the common guy. He still lives at home with his family, he's not pressuring his girlfriend to drop everything for him (*cough*Federer*cough*), and he's proven he can adjust his play to get even better. Now if he can stop running away from summer hardcourts. It's his reckless abandon on claycourts that cause knee pain, not the hardcourts. So grow a pair and play the summer hardcourt Masters if you truly want #1.

Federer is more of a GQ, pretty boy, endorses anything that pays him bigtime $$$, yet can't commit long term to Mirka. He's stubborn in his ways and use of tactics. He is the face of tennis and he's been a great ambassador for the game. Still, doing things like criticizing Murray after losing to him makes you wonder about how much of a Prince Charming/White Knight he really is. Seems he doesn't like that players will use other means to compete against him (as if that's a crime somehow).
