gess, what a horrible font and PJ on that side of the throat. wondering what the other side looks like.
no idea what are "PETG" and "RSIE", and that flat head P looks funny too.... :-D

Looks okay but that lettering on the throat bothers me.

Its the same for all new Head racquets, writing the name like that. And its, IMHO, the worst bit about the new pj's. The actual paint is very nice though.

Prestige is releasing November 4.
No mold changes. Layup tweaks. No string pattern changes (maybe additional string patterns...)
Not Gloss, only top portion (hoop), throat is matte.
Excellent feel on the Pro (former MP).

New Speed coming out in Q1 2022 and is great.

You still using the PT57A or are you switching to one of these?

It's going to be hard to remember that the Pro is the 95 and the non-Pro is 100.

New line is live on head.com

Hahaha, even they still have the new Pro called the MP in the description.

Edit: Ah it would appear what I said only applies to the US site.

I’m not going to claim credit, but I had suggested a long while ago that a paint job where the paint is transparent to expose the carbon fiber would be really rad. I really dig this new PJ and am glad I waited and didn’t end up spending money on the 360+ Prestige. That font on the side is stupid though; it’s like HEAD decided to copy the Pure Strike but messed up. Also doesn’t look like there’s any mention of Graphene on the frame; am really glad that the whole graphene marketing ploy is over.

I’m not sure why, but that lettering like that on the side made me think of a Pure Strike.

I think what makes me happy is the price. Mad props to Head. Awesome.
Why, what's the price? Its not set yet is it?
Looks nice but as most of us are saying the writing on the throat is a bit of a mess, doesn't read nicely and isn't enough to put me off it but it's not a good look. I like the current 360+ paint job though. I did like the original gravity PJ also but prefer the prestige though it is divisive. This new one is a safer bet and is more of the stealth style which is safer territory but has a nice finish that seems unlike those used before by May manufacturer I've seen.

Is that 230 going to have tax added for you guys when purchasing. For the UK price it shows. £240 which is a slight increase, I think the gravity was officially around £220 but I'm sure retailers will be selling it for around the £180 price for release. The red prestige (360+) is still around £120 now its on clearance, gone are the days of the IG prestige MP which was closed out for under £60 on tennis warehouse in the end, I should have got some haha.

Looks great

Very fitting, understated pj for a heritage line of racquets. I would guess many/most prestige players are in the older demographics and would prefer this to the fluoro stuff that’s on trend at the moment.

Most UK stores discount by 15% to start with; and with the lack of stock around most are holding at the discount or close to it. I wouldn't expect the Prestige Pro to be below £200 on release; unless you go to a smaller retailer ;-)

I guess 20 years ago when I purchased the intelligence series they were around the £160 mark upon release so the price hasn't gone up that much, however I would say the quality has gone down which I'm sure most would agree on. The latest radical for instance feels like a cheap toy in comparison to my I radical MP. I think the 360+ prestige felt pretty decent and clawed some credibility back regards frame finish cosmetically and had a more premium feel to it.

Looks like Graphene is finally gone. We're onto AUXETIC, whatever that is.

Blurb from Head:

In an innovative twist on a HEAD classic, the PRESTIGE PRO TENNIS RACQUET now comes with the sensational feel of the new Auxetic construction, helping advanced players to use control and precision. Previously known as the PRESTIGE MP, the PRO has a new and highly distinctive see-through carbon element which is slightly different every time, giving your racquet its unique appearance. As part of a design update that is inspired by PRESTIGE frames from the 1980s, the PRESTIGE PRO also has a translucent Bordeaux color that adds to the premium aesthetic.

• Ultimate control and precision
• For advanced players
• Sensational feel
• Fresh, premium design
• Distinctive, see-through carbon element

So this is the new thing for paint jobs? Sounds a lot like this line from the new Blade item description:

“Additional updates include Wilson’s new Chameleon Paint which activates subtle color changes under different angles and light conditions.”

I think you’re confusing Wilson’s chameleon paint that looks different under different light, with Head talking about showing some of the inner carbon material which will differ for each individual racquet in a subtle way. Hence uniqueness. Every Blade looks the same. My RF97 has some exposed braided (?) carbon whatsits... weave?

Oh, ok. That sounds better than what I thought. Thanks.

Maybe that'll be a trend? Wilson's Pro Staff v13 exposed carbon stuffs, now Head doing something similar? A little difficult for me to tell from the pictures.

I have to say... the leaked photos didn't garner much excitement from me, but seeing these released images has me... Well, a mild exaggeration but, damn it, I was hoping not to get excited over the new Prestiges, haha. I wonder how swapping the black/red (well, buying sets of both) grommets on the G30+ and 2021 models would look. Might still be a little too much red on the burgundy/black. But it might be checkers-silly/funny, in both cases.

Looks almost as boring as the Graphene Touch (as mentioned above). Last one was beautiful, the orange that didn't fit at first view kept it interesting.
End of graphene (finally)? Or is it 'Graphene Auxetic'?
Auxetic probably is "Clash" technology? Changing stiffness depending on impact force?

The new MP Lite looks interesting, like a thinner beam Speed MP. Paintjob is quite sexy although the random diagonally-cut red P and the prestige lettering looks a tiny bit off.

Same as MP (former Tour 99 sq in) but lighter and open pattern. Softer, thinner and lower power than speed
Currently using the Speed MP, what can I expect in terms of feel? I’ve never hit with a prestige before. Sometimes I wish the Speed was just a little less muted and powerful.

Looks amazing! I want to spend $ on it but it was too difficult to use. What is this, a sweet spot for ants?!
That said I will never forget the buttery feel.

Yes, you get the sweet spot when you are good enough, I have nearly given up on the prestige, when not hitting regularly and being fully fit it is a demanding stick demanding excellence from the user. When I tried a gravity I felt like I couldn't miss on my double handed BH side but all other aspects of play were reduced and my forehand was still OK but lacking the crispness of hit from the bigger sweetspot. A bigger sweetspot is a help but not too big, the speed gives a decent hit I hear and packs a punch. I might have to try one but I like the prestige feel too much. I switched to a speed for a few months (Graphene youtek speed Pro) and I've they have softened it up since those days, too overpowered that frame, I tried the first gen 360 speed Pro, was OK but still not what I wanted.

Has anyone got feedback on the former Prestige Tour (which will now be the Prestige MP)? It looks interesting specs wise. 99 head size, 21.5 beam width, 18x19 pattern, light but with substantial swing weight.
