Head Youtek IG Prestige Pro Stiffness

J-Wildcard

Semi-Pro
When I purchased the HeadYoutek IG Prestige Pro I wanted to keep the magical feel of my previous Prestige frames (I have the Youtek and Youtek IG versions in MP)
I was under the impression initially that the Pro was 5g heavier and had an open 16/19 string pattern so was keen to give it a go. I have not yet strung it up as I had given the Head Youek Graphene Speed Pro a last chance but was getting some arm issue with that and it felt a little overpowered on certain flat power shots that i just couldnt tame after hitting mainly with the prestige for many years despite changing tensions. Now I am going to string the Prestige Pro up but is the frame stiffer than the MP version? I can only find the Pro review where it says the stiffness is 66 which seems pretty stiff to me for a prestige which I thought were usually a softer arm friendly frame?

I liked the IG prestige pro but wanted more easy power & it’s a lil on the heavy side compared to what I usually use

Thanks for that, so it comes in at 62 stiffness as opposed to the pro at 66. From this it would appear that the pro is significantly stiffer then? I do think you have to play at least a couple of times a week and be fit to play with the prestige. When I have had lay offs I've come back and found it underpowered. I would expect the pro to have had more power as it's open pattern and stiffer then. I guess I need to string it up and find out.

My mistake. I used the youtek prestige pro version & not the IG.

Compared to my previous microgel prestige mp, I felt it did have more power, was solid across the board, and easier access to spin - hit loopier but not anything like a babolat.
I’m used to lower static weight rackets like the radical & blade so this was higher weight & did not leave me room to customize.
Had it been lower weight, I would have kept it with strategic lead placement to give me a little more easy thump on the serve. This was a solid racket. I didn’t bother with the IG version because of the bump in weight.

How is the swingweight so little on a 12 oz 6hl racquet?
