How does the "mixed exclusive" rating kick in?

Do I need to worry about a potential bump?

Here's the situation:

I have a 4.5 rating, but I'm one of the strongest 4.5s in the section.

I discovered recently that I have a unique ability to control the match when I play mixed 8.0 doubles (I can cover a doubles court well and I'm good at protecting my partner so that she doesn't have to do much for us to win).

Now that my new partner has gotten the hang of my 8.0 "formula", and I'm playing a bit more than I used to, I've starting winning my 8.0 league matches with dominating scores (like 6-0, 6-1 the last couple matches, and not very competitive).

I'm playing only 8.0 in 2014 (3-0 so far). I also played only 8.0 in 2013 (won all my matches except the last match of the season, and also dropped a match in playoffs).

2012 was the last time I played 4.5 (I had a losing record, mainly due to weak partners).

Do I need to worry about possibly getting bumped up to 5.0 due to the "mixed exclusive" rule? or I am protected because my mixed scores still don't count toward my ranking?

This must be a great experience for your 3.5 female partner.

Do you really get anything other than a ego boost by beating up other 8.0 teams as a near 5.0 player?

If you are such a dominate 4.5 player in your section, why don't you play 4.5 singles and get some competition? You stated the 8.0 matches are very lopsided and not competitive at 8.0 mixed, so why play them? Or find a male 4.5 doubles partner who doesn't cause you to lose ?

LOL, no kidding. There's a lot going on here. "I'm one of the strongest 4.5s around, but I had a losing record because my partners all suck, so I now just play against 3.5 women so I can dominate." Cool story, bro.

You only get a mixed rating if you did not play any regular league.
Yes if you are as good as you claim you probably should be bumped to 5.0 or higher out of spite and ego.

yes you can get bumped from mixed exclusive. However from what I have seen it seems a lot harder to get bumped. I have seen guys hang around forever with a 4.5M rating that seem to never get bumped even though they are probably 5.0s. There is a strange subset of strong male tennis players that only play mixed in official matches for some reason. I guess you are one of them. Not sure what is the attraction to 8.0 since you will almost always be the strongest player on the court unless you come across a similar high level 4.5/5.0 male player.

If you are really worried you can just do what everyone else does- manage your rating. Or you could just join a mens 4.5 team and play 3 matches in singles if that is not your strong suit.

He'd have to play doubles. In singles, there would be no way to hide his awesome power. In doubles, his partners generally suck.

Exclusive rating is just that. You won't get bumped or get an exclusive rating unless that's all you play. If you play other same sex leagues, you won't get a mixed exclusive rating.
