If their biggest competition is a 36-year old Federer and a bunch of nobodies with a mentality of a 5-year old girl, then I can easily see them compete for majors even then.

I think they'll be doing much better than people realise.

Haha... If the biggest competition then is a 36 years old Federer, then that would definitely just add to Federer's legacy.:)

Federer would be winning slams if Djokovic wasnt arguably almost as good as Prime Federer

Nadal and Djokovic can still be winning slams in 4 - 5 years if the next generation isnt as dominant as this one

Excellent prediction.
Career inflation era going strong since 2016. Stat padding.

Nothing beats the 2004-07 stat padding period. At least Djokovic and Nadal are past prime now. If they had a career inflation period in their absolute physical prime, they would have had a lot more slams. Nadal's physical prime (2008-13) is perhaps the strongest era of all time.

Nadal won 10 Slams in that stretch.....

Nadal will still be winning Roland Garros at age 30. Not sure where Djokovic will be.

I'm not surprised that Federer faded from the slam title scene so quickly.

Nadal is the only player with a shot at winning slams as late as Agassi won slams, because Nadal at Roland Garros is so difficult to beat, even on a off day, that he will sustain domination into his 30s. Federer meanwhile, can't win slams anymore. And Djokovic is putting too much pressure on his back/shoulder muscles by stretching for wide balls rather than actually using footwork.

I think Nadal will still be a good player at 30, however, I think he will be bald. I think Djokovic will also still play well at 30, but his nose and face will have grown longer.

Competition before turning 28:

Djokovic - peak Nadal/Federer
Federer - Baghdatis
Number of top 10 players Baghdatis beat before facing Federer: 3
Number of top 10 players Berrettini beat before facing Nadal: 0

But I guess there's some obscure stat that proves me wrong, bring it on stat vanilla boy.

An amazing example of getting it perfectly wrong. :D Fred enjoying easier time for some of his peak/prime was less significant since he could've won most of those slams against fiercer opposition (considering it took peak Djokodal a tough five-setter to beat a slightly declined Federer except in their respective pet slams), but now that all of them are visibly on the decline, harder competition would've plausibly shut them out of titles, again except for their respective pet slams.

Medvedev >>> Baghdatis

Why do you compare a finalist to a semifinalist?

Yes we know that Federer sucked for being unable to beat the top ranked player in a Slam in 2004-2007.

Hood man is anything but a troll. In fact, he is missed as he doesn't post any more (or at least I haven't seen him post in a long time). You can make a point about the others too, although the opposing fanbases will be quick to swamp the thread with opposite suggestions.

7 years later.... Nadal and Djokovic are winning all the slams and Fed is being Fed he is either Vulturer or Chokerer rarely shows up as anything else.

Very amusing thread.

Amids the mostly amazingly correct predictions your comment looks like whining just to troll, which is what you are doing.

People could be trolling you about the 04-07 thing. I think they know you mean the next highest ranked player it is kinda obvious.

you do know that highest ranked opponent does NOT equal to the toughest opponent in a given period of time, don't you?
for example, how many matches Kafelnikov lost in a row after reaching the #1?

the player in the QF, had to win 4 BO5 matches within less than 2 weeks.
the player in the SF, had to win 5 BO5 matches within less than 2 weeks.
the player in the final, had to win 6 BO5 matches during 2 weeks.
which makes them very strong in a given point in time.

04-07 wasn’t stat padding. Federer beat many quality contemporaries and also held off up coming world class young players.

If they had their prime at same time as Fed, they’d nowhere near 5 Wimbledon or 4 USO that’s for sure. Fed drew the short straw.
