I do agree with this. Soderling is a bit one dimensional though (nothing wrong with that as long as it is effective). He hits a big serve, a big forehand and a big backhand, which is awesome. But we don't see some artistic tennis that we witness during Murray matches (like a killer slice or a beautiful lob, and so on).

Murray is looking virtually unplayable at the moment. It is almost impossible to win a set against him. I don't think either of Tsonga, Nadal/Soderling or Federer/Berdych can stop him in this form.
Come on Andy, bring it home!

you know....murray looked impressive in australian open all the way until the final and we know what happens; same situation here so far, except all the more expectation, plus the queen breathing down his neck, no chance; federer nadal final again.

I don't think it was the pressure that lost it for him in Australia, he played fairly well but Federer just played near his best, which is always enough.
As for the expectation? It means nothing, he's not really one to care what someone writes in the paper or some fans wearing ginger wigs
He puts 10 times more pressure on himself than the fans ever could.

Although Murray is playing exceptionally well, not losing a set; the fact that he is British/Scottish will put a lot of pressure on his shoulders. He is definitely a contender and you can't count him out for sure. But it will certainly be a tough task.

Murray would have had a better chance of winning had he won the AO this year.
I hope he wins. He really needs a GS win now, and it would be great for the game. However, he still has a long way to go yet.

Really good article.
Alot of his haters on here don't really get his game and prefer to call him a pusher and pick on his appearance. What can I say? If they can't appreciate what he does out there then it's their loss.

Five down, two more to go. Murray is looking good to win his first slam. Although I would have loved to see Murray school Federer in the final but that can wait I guess. He has to beat Nadal and Djokovic/Berdych to win his first slam title. I can't wait for this weekend. Go Andy!

I am not saying Nadal will stomp all over him. Hope its a good match but I also want the winner of this to win the whole thing. Dont want this to be the "real final", lol, in the sense that the winner goes tired into the final, and Joker wins easily :-(
I don't think either of Djokovic or Berdych stand a chance against Murray or Nadal. The winner of this match is winning Wimbledon this year for sure.

It's interesting that the mention the mental wearing, because my dad said the same, he often leaves those that play him rather confused and frustrated, which is really when he pounces. I hope Nadal can keep his calm!

When I think Nadal and USO, I whince and become consumed by the thought of pain. Images of on verge of death type fatigue, torn abdomens, destroyed knees, and being absolutely blown off the court.
