That's better than many others wishes, that's for sure, no matter which fanbase they are from.
Yeah exactly. It’s the best answer to give. As a big fan of Djokovic, I obviously hope Rafa doesn’t win.

However, I respect Rafa and know he’s a great impact on sport and I wish him to go out on his terms and not by injury.

That’s the best response about rival players when it comes to fan base discussions on here. It’s not Insulting but being honest about what I want to happen.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Everyone wants their guy to be have the one to win the slam race, the difference is the level of tolerance and respect they have for the other guys. So you're most certainly one of the better ones.

Likewise to you as well fellow brethren. I always love your posts and the discussions you have on here. They very insightful, interesting and great to read.

Yeah we can be honest, have a bit banter but remain respectful at same time and not push the boundaries to far in the way of insults. I totally agree.

Sad to see the loss of prestige of Wimbledon where not too many see the big deal in Djokovic tying the Wimbledon title record. I bet it matters a lot to him based on his Wimbledon victory speeches.

Rafans, if Rafa has one more slam in him, what slam will that be: RG, Wimb or UO?

If I am a Rafan, I'd choose Wimb, no question, while defeating Djokovic in a five setter!

2023 summer is supposed to be hot and dry, maybe it will be green clay by the 2nd week and he can win.

Climate change will be the next twist impacting the Slam race!

Honestly I don't understand why fans don't admit they are obsessed here. I admit I am most obsessed with Rafa and clay swing. I just want to get out of this cycle.

I will admit I’m the same on that. Rafa winning clay and RG every year does frustrate us unless you’re a Rafa fan. Like you say it’s good to be honest. Just like Rafa fans will feel about Djokovic dominating Australia and Wimbledon of last few years.

I’m invested in the slam race and hope Djokovic wins it but I still would not wish any injury, bad things or enforced retirement on Rafa. I just hope Novak beats him on the court and overall. He has already in most records and just needs the slam record now.

Rafa should have another Wimbledon title. Id immediately sign for his retirement if he did. Would love to see healthy grassdal 1 more time.

Yeah, for Rafa a third Wimb would be much more special than a 15th RG. Especially after 14 frustrating years of not winning it!

Just like for Djokovic a 3rd RG is much more special than a 11th AO! But a 3rd RG is not more special than an 8th Wimb, because another Wimb would tie Federer's record!

Really tight between RG and Wimbledon for me but I chose Wimbledon.

I mean, it's literally Wimbledon. One more title ties up Fed and also gives him a bee-line to being the greatest we've ever seen on grass, which the media even to this day speaks of as the most prestigious slam of them all. Not to mention it's given me so many fond memories, what's one more?

I don't want to pick RG mainly because it would feel like recency bias as it's the next available slam and thinking long term, idk if it has a major impact on proceedings even if Nadal wins. But I must admit winning #3 and becoming the out-right slam leader on Nadal's dirt is a tasty prospect.

I really don't care about the US Open anymore. It is what it is. Winning another slam there doesn't do much for me nor will it make the absolute ******** from the last couple years go away. If he wins one, great. If he doesn't, meh.

Nadal-Djokovic rivalry is best in tennis:

1. They play the most times, 59
2. They're close as can be in H2H, 30-29
3. They tie in slams, 22 all

They're so even because they dominate different facets of the game: Nadal dominates more on clay, Djokovic dominates less but on two different surfaces, HC & grass.

Too few epic matches, and too many one-sided matches.

Your opinion, but the Djokovic-Nadal match-up rivals the Navratilova-Evert rivalry! There was a change in the dynamics and results that was on a rollercoaster for 20 years; same with Nole & Rafa! One dominated on clay, the other on grass, HC, & carpet! Navratilova & Djokovic dominated late and had significant runs of successes before balancing out for a bit their respective rivalries! Evert & Nadal appear to be on the way out, but snagged a couple prizes on the way out! ;) :-D:unsure::laughing::happydevil:

Have you ever heard the phrase “If everywhere you go it smells like sh1t, maybe it’s time to check your own shoes”?

Let me know.

TCGS > DCGS > CGS for the versatility. Though another Wimbledon would be amazing for the utter ruins. :sneaky:

I wouldn't mind Nole beating Rafa at RG but losing to him at USO.

Why didn't you allow posters to view the poll results without voting? I'm not a Nole fan (so I'm not voting), but am curious which slam most Nole fans would pick.

What are you talking about? I edited a poll and removed tick as soon as someone mentioned it in the comments section! "Allow the results to be viewed without voting" - tick removed...if for some reason you still cannot see how people vote before casting your own vote - then it's not something i can do about...all the question to forum staff...

Then it will help big servers whose antidote are great returners ,while those who struggle in the slightest with movement-timing on grass will have tough time to survive first week.In the second week grass wearing out under dry weather court could be playing more like hard contrary to popular belief like clay.

The only thing in the end, that will be left for Federer to hold as a first place in that graph is consecutive weeks on top of rankings uninterrupted best streak record! LOL For Nadal - probably nothing at all...i can totally see Novak finally capturing elusive CYGS this season, call me too optimistic, but i feel it in my guts (not to jinx it or anything...), overtaking Federer's total rankings points earned throughout the entire career is just a matter of extremely short time (as short as maybe the first half of next year! LOL) and overtaking his ATP finals titles for a standalone record will happen even sooner - by the end of this year...crazy scenes...in the end of the day - Fedal may only compete at who has most 2nd places for each of these records LOL
