If you knew your favorite player can win just one more slam...

I'm a Nadal fan and I would choose RG without any doubt. I really want him to win another AO or Wimbledon, but if I had to choose just one slam then it would still be RG. This tournament always was special for Nadal, and even now it is more important for him than any other tournament. Can't trade it for anything else.

Juan Martin - USO (because once is a fluke)
Sir Murray - AO (too damn good on the surface not to win one)
Rafa - AO (once is a fluke)
Fed - RG (once is a fluke)

Grigorgeous - any major

If Fed chooses one for himself, I say he'll be silly and go for the same old Wimbledon.
If I choose on his behalf, I'll pick the RG to get that double CGS.

For Fed definitely Wimbledon.Getting no 20 here would be just incredible.Don't really see why people are bothered by a second RG. Even if he beat Nadal everyone would say it was only because Nadal was past his best so it wouldn't change anything

Wawrinka - Wimbledon

Mere Mortals-
Djokovic - RG, become first man to win the double career slam. He certainly has the second best chance after Nadal winning the AO.
Federer - Wimbledon, #20 at the All England Club would be incredible. And the tournament he retires in? Yea, that'd be incredible.
Murray - AO, He deserves one, he's too good to not win one. The only reason why he didn't win one is because he was born the same time as Djokovic.
Nadal - AO, Same reason as Djokovic, except he has a better chance to get the AO than Djoker to get RG.
Delpo - USO, because one isn't enough. His heartbreak in 2017 has to be avenged.
Cilic - Wimbledon, He deserves one, such a good grass court player when he's on his day. Had he not been injured could've possibly done something against Federer.
Tsonga - AO, Losing the 2008 Final to Djoker sucked, bad. Fairy tale runs without happy ending are always bad. Hopefully he can get just one GS down under.

Tough call for Roger – obviously I'd love RG to complete the double CGS. But the storyteller in me prefers him to score one more at Flushing Meadows on the year he decides to retire

• Breaking the record with 6
• Ending his final year on a high slam-wise
• Trophy ceremony with an epic 30-minute standing ovation and being cheered by the loudest, largest crowd possible at Arthur Ashe
• Maybe he can win it with Serena too (also in her last year) and it'll be the most awesome but bittersweet moment in sport

Federer is my favorite player but I’d love to see Del Po win another slam.

Difficult question. At this point I'd be equally happy with any of the four for Novak. AO for reestablishing himself as the record holder, FO for another set of Slams, Wimbledon because it's Wimbledon and USO because he underachieved there.

FO - Fed takes out Nadal in a brutal final.
Wimby - Nadal takes out Fed in a brutal final.

Both realize they can’t keep doing this forever and retire deciding jointly they’ve given enough of themselves.

You know, like Gundam:

Watch the above and tell me there’s a better ending out there for either player. It’s got everything - brutal battles, heartbreak, triumph, love, sacrifice, jubilation, casualties caught up in the war with each other and ultimately, redemption.

It needs the right ending. Federer and Nadal sail off into the sunset together after one last round on their respective turfs.

It’s my theory you can’t be Federer fan without coming to admire Nadal. And you can’t be a Nadal fan without coming to admire Federer.

The hatred you feel in the space between the two?

It’s called respect.

Fedr: W > US > RG > AO

The tantilizing thing about the RG hypothetical scenario is that it yields a very high chance that he won it over Nadal, which would be bonkers. However, it would probably compromise his Wimbledon and clay is for mugs anyway. US Open is a good shout; not winning it since 2008 after 5 straight is borderline unacceptable. He won freaking RG more recently. The slam just hates him and retribution is needed.

And by all that I mean 'Wimbledon'.

At this point all further slams are just adding on to an already legendary career.

I would love to see Nadal win the AO again as I feel he's been rather snake bit there. However the more I think about it, perhaps another Wimbledon would enhance his legacy even more than the AO. It's a tough call.

Honorary mention to the US Open, especially if it's over Federer. The Fedfans want this one bad and I could only imagine the anger, heartbreak and gnashing of teeth if Nadal beats him there.

Imagine this situation: you know your favorite player can win just one more slam in his career, and you can choose what slam that will be. And you know 100% that he will win the slam you choose. What will be your choice then?

My dying wish would be for Nole to win one more Australian Open and break the record. If he does that I will be content

It's not hard, it would be Roland Garros. But I really want him to win AO again, also the WB, he just won the UO, so not that one.

Easy choice for me: Roland Garros. Federer is too great (-est of all times) a player to have a '1' in the win column.
