If you only had ONE racket for LIFE?

Oh, this is a good one :)

If I had to pick one racket model for my entire life, it would have to be something that's comfortable, controllable, powerful, and user friendly. Isn't that what all of us are looking for?

My vote would probably go to the Wilson Ultra Pro v3, with natural gut strings. No fancy tech. Just good specs.

How does it compare to the Ultra Tour?

I haven't had a chance to hit the Ultra Pro v3 (yet), but I have lots of experience with the Utra Tour, which is a terrific frame. The specs of the v3 look about the same, so I suspect they didn't change too much. If someone told me that would be my only racquet for the rest of my tennis days, I would be Ok with that. (y)

Ive been happy with my ultra xp 100's for the past 5 years, i was ncode before, and trisys260 before that.

All three rackets are great but i love the free power/spin i get from the ultra.

There is no one racquet for me. I just use racquets for my enjoyment, then dump them for the latest model. The worse I treat them the better they seem to perform too.

Probably my Prince Graphite MP 93 (crossbar) from high school days. Played those racquets for a decade and they'd probably hold their own today.

Am biased as I currently play the UT 2.0, but really would pick it long term - as while they're now 365g w/full poly, there's tons of room to lighten/adjust specs for whatever I need/want in the future. Can't imagine needing more than 98 square inches or a thicker beam. Like PMF said, no fancy/silly tech - just foam filled goodness in a timeless shape.

Well if I’ve gotta age with it I’ll go with the Angell TC100 63RA. Plush, powerful, great feel, and I’ll just keep on changing the lead weights in the handle to go more HL as I age lol.

That'd be my second choice, truly an all-time-great stick. Really any 6.1/Six.One 95.

I still have like 8 of them, but have been strung too many times and more flexible.

I think thats the only racket i never broke out of anger (besides my new ultra's) so must be great rackets :D

I haven’t seen any blades yet, interesting. Personally my racquet journey is not over, however I have come close with the Pure Aero and the blade v7 18/20, and maybe the pure drive.

-i tought about answering with the "wawrinka y.95d racquet", but since i havent hit with one, i cant commit to a life long term
-i really hope yonex brings his racquet out
-a yonex vcore pro, 95" with 16/20 pattern,,, i think most yonex players would try it out.. i know i would!
