I'm selling my stringer

I have had my stringer for the past 6 months and i have lost my patience. I would honestly pay a shop to string my racquet consistently and efficiently. I rarely break strings and the only reason i have replaced my strings was because they went dead. What do you think? Should i sell my Klippermate or keep it? Like i said, i rarely use my stringer and now since i found my favorite string/tension combo i find it that i dont use it as much.

I have a klippermate as well and I regret I didn't buy it before.
Yes, stringing takes good 40-50 minutes but it saved me a lot of money
Most importantly I got to try strings and setups that I would never have tried if I had to pay $25 every time for the job.
I suggest you to keep it.
In my case I have 4 racquets so even if I cannot re-string right away
I can wait until weekend and I'll find 1 hour to do the job.

i had my stringer now for 1 year now (gamma x-2) and had recently decided to upgrade (gamma 602fc).

i don't break strings but i like to try out new tensions and strings. also i help out friends and team mates when they break their strings.

stringing your own racquet helps a lot of people, but you might be in the category where it doesn't. 2 main reasons i think people don't want to string their own racquet is:

1. they don't have the time

2. your time is worth more than what you save stringing your own racquet (avg. is $15-$25)

How many times have you actually strung a racquet with it over the last 6 months?
Now tell us how much your local stringer charges to string a frame.
Multiple the first number times the second and subtract the cost of the Klippermate and this is how much you've saved already. Based on how many times I strung with mine, I had already paid for it and was actually saving money after only 6 months of use but of course YMMV.

Are implying by this line "I would honestly pay a shop to string my racquet consistently and efficiently", that you can't get a consistent string job using your Klippermate? If so, you are doing it wrong. If used correctly it will give consistent results.

If you don't break your strings often then sell it. I break my strings like every 8-10 hours of play. Getting expensive.

For the little the Klippermate cost you, my advice would be to keep it. Even if you are not interested in changing your string setup regularly (like most of us do) and feel that you are not getting the use out of the machine, let your friends know that you have a machine and are willing to string for them. If nothing else, makes you a popular buddy to have!! I get so many requests to string racquets for friends of friends, I have had to turn many of them down. Still, if you don't enjoy the hobby of stringing, then maybe it's just not your thing. Good luck, whatever you decide.

^^^^ the OP said that he's lost his patience with stringing. That probably affects the quality of his string jobs. Therefore, if he doesn't want to string for himself, he probably wouldn't want to string for his friends.

Damn, I could see myself going down this road and doing the opposite of the OP. How hard is it to string with a Klipper? They are so cheap. I have zero experience stringing, but I can string a guitar and bass quite well :)

You can learn everything you need to know from YULitle's videos on YouTube. I bought my stringer a year ago and it has saved me a ton of money already.
