Ivanovic is hot, but her return feet noise is Cheating

This thread gets my nomination for "the most ******** thread of the month" award. Some of you guys have way too much time on your hands or you are dilusional. I've been playing tennis at a high level for 35 years and I've seen it all on the court in terms of gamesmanship. There is annoying (Sharapova shrieks) and there is gamesmanship (fake injury time outs). Ivanovic is doing nothing wrong except keeping her feet moving. New shoes + new court surface = sqeaks. Enough said.

Hm, stupid threas, Ill just enjoy writing this all over and again, for the 5th or 6th time. In the final sqeeking was minimal, like really minimal. Btw bowling is a sport, okay one if you ask me.

Every player before serving have a look of where his opponent is in the court and then taus the ball in the air and do not look any more ...

Ana makes one or two step in the court so that her opponent can C her in the court before serving..and then she use fast short moves to get as quick as she can as back as she can...

And please do not compare it with Sharapova who clearly scream like mad women for no particular reason then to distract her opponent .. you C a passing shot or something and hear her yeling like she just lifted 300kg above her head.. PLEASE

You missed my point.. I was trying to explain why does Ivanovic do that...

she want her opponent to think she is waiting for serve a little deeper than she actually is..

Funny, on one point she shuffles and squeaks like mad. On another she does a simple split step. What exactly IS her return style?

it was interesting to see that after being called out twice for it vs. williams and daniella and even having an article printed about it making the front page her sqeeky feet were almost completely silent vs. sharapova.

I read some article (sorry! can't remember the source to cite it) that said Ana had been squeaking early in the match, but Sharapova was hesitating on serve to throw her off, and she stopped doing it. I don't remember seeing that, but I was also unable to hear a lot of what was going on where I was watching.

I also read that the Sharapova camp had Sharpie practicing serves while someone made squeaking sounds during her toss during her practice sessions before the final. LOL! What next???

Interesting. It looks like she simply switched from a split-step return to more of a stutter-step return.

whether she's doing it to throw off her opponent or not is questionable. It obviously didnt do her alot of good in the final so im not sure.

i finally noticed the squeekin' shoes tactic last night. she mainly used it in the first set when it was an important break-point point. and it definitively caused Maria to double fault. i was pissed. but it's not illegal.
Mary Carillo had a good point when she stated "Maria Sharapova would be the last person to complain about her opponent making too much noise." oh Mary, you clever dog.
