Jim Courier is doing a great job and please let him continue.....

I hope you stick to your words. Gambling is not a good thing.

I "gamble" all day long. Its what I do. But its stock market. I got algo screwed this morning, so instead of making a million I made only 3k usd. Not a good morning so far at all. But at least I woke up to reality, and reality is, MATCHUPS. I put my reputation on the line re: Cilic. Because that is what I do, I speculate on matchups and no eyebrow/possible clone factory child had no chance against Cilic in a fair matchup, no technology used against either.

Will I have the stones to bet against Federer? No. I believe he is outstanding, and totally enhanced. But lets just be in fantasy world and just say he is outstanding, which in HIS case, I am fine with. But no old fart with a bad back plays like this. But at the same time, so what if he is on the best of the best? he is still the bloke who is hitting the shot, and NO ONE in the history of tennis hits a shot that well and THAT beautiful.

When Federer retires, unless some kid comes out of nowhere and please, please don't say that turk shapovolov with the lousy technique on the forehand, the game is going to sag badly imo.

So no, no bets on Federer/Cilic. None, I am just going to sit back and watch one heckuva match. And all of Croatia was on Cilic for crying, I know I did, so I don't think we will see that again. Course Fed can cry any time he wants apparently. But not a CROAT, we are too proud.

The only thing that JC does for me is give me encouragement... I'd crush that moonbat as a tennis broadcaster. Whenever he tries to invent his own lingo - example: refers to the difference between players as "the delta"... Ugh!! Just a pathetic stooge trying to convince the world that he's hip.

But fortunately I have TT to call home - for now. I can dream and so can you!!

The guy was a great player. If he had, had a backhand, we would be talking about him a lot more. Sadly, it was a pretty poor backhand coupled with a LIONS forehand, great courage, strength and determination.

Well, he is bringing back big game now. He is making tennis more global, more interesting, by asking guys after the match( and girls) not tough questions, but provocative questions that are of interest And NOT irritating to the player.

Why? ? Cause he was a great himself.

He really got Federer to get very chatty and who doesn't want to see the greatest player of all time chatty?

Thanks Jim, you were great to watch and you are doing great things after matches now that will probably garner many many more fans of tennis, the greatest sport, ever conceived, on planet earth.

Most reporting is so brutally bad, its impossible to watch. Jim Courier, has finally brought journalism to a level where the player AND the audience both enjoy it.

His competition? Sam Smith or whatever her name is, interviewed Halep and got STOMPED. She inferred that a junior Australian Open was nothing to compare to a adult slam and Halep juts slapped her politely by sternly saying, "its important to me"

Jim Courier........ Please let him run to every tournament and do this. Tennis will explode.

Jim Courier is awesome!

No bias here :D

As far as the topic goes, I like him as long as he keeps the interviews short. The only leeway is if the interview turns really funny. I've also liked that he's let Chung take the mic and speak in Korean.

So, are you following tennis or not?

I never really see/hear from him outside the Australian Open but I guess he is on other networks that I don't get. Yeah,he's a nice guy and pretty much has the dream life like several other former greats, paid to follow the tennis tour around without the stress of playing or coaching, well except Davis Cup duties...

He is a great stock guy himself. Made a fortune during the internet craze before the march 2000 crash. I sold everything in February, got lucky. Hope he got out as well.

Jim Courier is overrated. Wrong career after tennis I say. It's like there's always one more question just when you think its over.

I hate those interviews. He sets Fed up continually for humblebrags and he just delivers every time! It’s awful to watch. But it’s just a bit of fun.

Oh please, humblebrags? Jim and Roger are joking around. The only people you take them seriously are jealous people.

Does Jim live in Australia? He always does the interviews from what I remember the last ten years.
He did a good post-match with Cilic too.

After the Federer/Chung match, I switched channels at the start of the on-court interview. I switched back an hour later and it was still going on.

I guess now that his interviews are a daily topic of discussion on 'Live at the Australian Open', Courier feels he has to outdo himself with every interview.

They had been on court for 40 minutes before Chung retired. And maybe, just maybe, they hoped to keep a bit more of the crowd around for the wheelchair matches they moved to RLA.

I'm just glad Courier doesn't start every "question" with "talk about...." There's actually some thought put into what he is asking, and some fun as well. It's entertainment, not church or international politics.
