Karatsev Playing with a Shorty ??? (Conspiracy theory evidence)

I'm sorry, I thought I read Andy Roddick. My bad.
Since I had the confirmed measurement for Murray from that vid, I was using Murray’s racquet as an experimental control to validate the accuracy of the measurement method. AK’s racquet appears to be about 1/4” shorter than Murray’s.

If Andy's racquet measures only slightly more than 27" then it seems your measurements are consistently underestimating. His frame was 27.5" by all in person accounts.

Hope that helps!
Depends when.
If Montpellier, could be slightly extended
Measuring strung soft frame can lead to a lot of inconsistent readings
Karatsev: 685mm

Here is slightly younger Aslan posing with a 27.5" extended frame. The image is from sometime in 2020. Hmm.

It’s nearly impossible to judge off pictures alone no? He’s only 6’1 which seems fairly average for tennis pros and he may even have Trump hands.

On another note, the ~6’1 height is seemingly the ideal height for winning grand slams (balance of reach, leverage, without impacting movement like poor Isner). I don’t know what my excuse is...

If two racquets have the same swingwright and same headsize, but one is slightly shorter than the other, the shorter one will have higher effective mass at the impact point.”

By effective mass you mean if mass is constant, acceleration increases with a shorter frame providing greater force? Is his mph for first serve down? Where is the benefit of leverage?

I think your math is way off..... it’s 27 inches and that’s a fact
I used the exact same math to measure images of Murray’s racquet, and Muzz’s frames always measure about 27.0 (or slightly longer) every time. AK’s always measure shorter every time in 100% of the images. The proportions are clearly different than Murray’s. I keep finding more images, and every image shows the same thing. I’m not making this up.

I’m also interested to know why he’s holding a 27.5” extended frame in the North Face photo shoot last year. Who gave him that frame? Was it in his bag? Was he experimenting?

Yes, yes, you’re making it up.

And what is your explanation for why he is holding a 27.5” extended frame in his press photo shoot last year?

It’s a photo shoot, not a practice.

I would have thought the pitfalls of measuring images of strung racquets, and deriving any kind of meaningful information about the length of the racquet...would have been painfully obvious. Apparently not.

If two racquets have the same swingwright and same headsize, but one is slightly shorter than the other, the shorter one will have higher effective mass at the impact point. So the shorter one will be better for returns. AK has had ridiculously good return numbers in 2021.

Also, note that Djokovic’s return numbers dropped off a cliff after he switched from 26.9” length to 27.1” length after his run of dominant return numbers in 2011-2016. His serve numbers got a little better by going longer and slightly lighter, but his return numbers got much worse due to big drop in effective mass.

The shorter racket has to have more mass to get the same swing weight as a longer racket. If they are both the same weight the longer racket will have the higher swing weight. Maybe AK cuts his rackets and then puts lead tape under the grommet strips to get the same swing weight. Then his swing ark would be shorter but still have the same mass.

Additional new high-quality images continue to surface each day. This image is the highest quality yet. Note that the perspective is from an angle that would tend to slightly overestimate the handle length (as the hoop is slightly further away than the handle). The oblique view of the underside of the handle allows alignment in the depth axis for more precise measurement. This one measures 26.65" (assuming 13.625" hoop length, which always gives 27.0" or slightly more when measuring images of Murray's frame).

Seems like he doesn't.

Press should ask him next time he makes a miraculous run in a grand slam. It's a better question than most they've asked so far.
If he doesn’t have a Twitter how can we be sure he’s not a white supremacist!? We need the tennis channel panel to have a discussion about this. Forget the racket talk.
