Kyrgios trying to repeat ‘giant killer’ history at Aus Open

His game caught alight for a set and a bit against a lesser opponent, so it's hard to draw any conclusion from that match.

After watching a little bit of Kyrgios there's no doubt in my mind that he will demolish Djokovic the next time they meet.

Worth 8 million, banging hot chicks and living large and in charge.
So? What’s your point? You should praise someone being a jerk because he’s also rich and “bangs hot chicks” (just typing that out makes me feel like an *****”. Those things are all unrelated.

edit: In-cel is censored?

I don't understand why these organizers don't schedule him in a 2nd round against Djoker. They put him in 2 against Rafa the last 2 years, and it wasn't at FO where it would be a whipping. And those 2 were top 5 entertaining matches at those respective slams. Pretty sure last year's firecracker of a match with Nadal was the most watched event in australia last year lol

if that match happens here and it's a big if, it's gonna be really disappointing, probably 3-0 for novack and im not sure how you could reach any other conclusion

If this thread and all the Kyrgihaterering is anything to go by, can you just imagine the absolute scenes if Nick somehow makes it to Novak? Only thing bigger would be if Nick beats Tim and Novak somehow loses to Fritz.

All those Djokodal truth wounds are still pretty fresh by the looks...

Kyrgios could embark on a trash talk tour with players who he has spat on in the past to his first slam win: Thiem, PCB, FAA, Djokovic and Nadal. Sadly, Thiem would kill him and end his journey right here right now.

I hope Nick wins. I really like people that don't hide behind a bunch of PR agents. Nick sounds like a genuinely good guy, unlike most of the top tennis players that are full of BS like Novak.

Without any crowds tonight, it will a lot harder for Nick to beat Thiem, if not impossible. Their huge support of him got him through Humbert the other night.

The lockdown begins at midnight, so there will be crowds for the match. It would be prudent if the match finished well before midnight.

It would be prudent if the government did not decide to label Kyrgios an "essential worker" and squeeze in one last super spreader event for the UK variant before locking down citizens 22 hours of the day.

Even Nick beats Thiem (and it is a big IF), he is not going past Grigor who he had managed to beat just once (1:3 h2h). And Grigor seems to have found his mojo back...
