Rafito should play one more match and then withdraw and save himself. At this level at RG, maybe about 4-5 players can beat him though maybe other considerations when having to grind out 3-5 sets.

Save his energy, health, and confidence, for a few matches at Roma and then go all out at RG.

Amazing from nadal. Even as a djokovic fan I couldn't be more excited for a final matchup between these two.

Of course you are excited lol. Nadal might have beaten AdM but there's no way he's good enough to be competitive with Djoko anymore. We all know how that match would go

How much did you bet?

Got Rafito at +130, +140, +160

1250 at +130
850 at +140
500 at +160

In live betting, got Rafito at +100 ($300) and then at +330 (when ADM went up a break at 4-3, $200). Hedged ADM at +125, +170, +235, +425 ($250 here).

You have made more money on your bets on Nadal today than on your salary for the month.
8-B

I didn't manage to watch the match. Did ADM play worse than in their previous match which he won? Or did Nadal just up his level quite a lot? Or both?

ADM played at his Barcelona level, no better and no worse. The crowd was much more raucous and loud than in Barcelona, it seemed to deflate Demon just a little bit. He made a few more UE's.

Rafa clearly upped his level. He was serving much bigger, running around his FH and played at a good level. Is it 2008 level? Nowhere close, but he's only played a couple matches since his return. If he continues to improve each match, he should be ready for RG and may go deep in Rome.

Sorry, but Di Minaur played at his Barcelona level today, no better and no worse. He looked worse and he lost because Nadal raised his level quite a bit. ADM's level is irrelevant anyway, no clay level of his is going to come close to beating even 80% Nadal, and we probably saw 75% of peak Rafa today. People are acting like Di Minaur played horrifically which is absurd. The final match tally showed Rafa with 66 points and Demon with 62.

Legend
Nadal still has a ways to go. But one thing that he has going for him is that the crowd will be on his side big-time, due to his legendary status, the fact that he's barely played in the last 18 months, and the fact that everybody knows that his career on clay likely only has a dozen or so matches left(if he's lucky).

That said, I was pleasantly surprised by how much Rafa upped his game today. He gave me some hope. If he increase his play 3 more levels to get within 5 levels of his peak play, then he's got a shot. That's a ton to ask. Heck, it's a lot to ask for him to remain healthy. But I somehow have a flicker of hope, given his level of play today.
