Marching with Iron Stan in his Ironic Ascendancy

Been with Iron Stan for years, he's been one of my favourites since I met him at Cincy in 2013. Amazing to see him win this event!!!

Stanimal has proven once again that he is amazing when ON.

Allez Stan!

RPS. Stan can't get it done again vs the Kandyman, yet has a streak intact vs Berdych, who absolutely owns Anderson. Go figure!

Match-ups can be really weird things. Until recently, one of my favourites was Murray having a losing H2H v Berdych (since equalised) who has a losing H2H v Simon who has a losing H2H v Murray!

Stanimal is an inconsistent gambler, onto 1st and 2nd round losses until the next time stars align and he fires off 300 winners

Wawa's ball from that CC return smash misshit is still being searched at on planet Jupiter I suppose...
Nah. His match-up with Anderson apparently is a bad one, Anderson played very well today, tight match, and well, these kind of losses do happen.

No big deal - who cares about Stan losing some warm-up tournament in an early round, when he's quite well proven to be capable of bringing the goods when it really matters?
(He's most probably still laughing his A S S off on his daily routine counting the dosh from AO 2014 and RG 2015, and rightly so :) )

The only thing he legitimately looks like in those shorts is a circus act.

A circus act taking a GS title. Not that bad at all.
Still sour, sourpuss?

Yes very bad. Almost as bad as winning slam titles opportunistically thanks to opponent's injury or exhaustion.

How about you just STOPPING this nonsense, for once, and be able to give credits where it's due? Just for once?

Darn, you really are the worst poster on this board. What an achievement.

Credit for what? Cakewalk draw of the century at RG? I'm giving him full credit for that, no contest.

ETA: nonsense? If Wawrinka was that good, he would have won more titles overall and especially more big titles. His 8 other titles were complete mickey mouse events except for 1. Yes just the one master title: a non-mandatory one. He got very lucky in 2 slams. Good for him. But still, he needed the luck.

He's beaten no. 1 AND 2 in the world in both of his slam wins. Who else has done that Sweetie?

Except Nadal at AO 2014 was injured and Djoko at RG 2015 was completely worn out from nightmare draw and schedule. Not everybody gets that lucky.

What was Djokovic's nightmare draw again, except for Murray?

Now, I know your tempted to say "the nine time champion!?", but we both know that ended up being no "nightmare draw".

Stan was also steamrolling Nadal before the injury in 2014. You know that as well. So it is now time to deal with it and move on.

Think of how good it would be to just let go

buhuhuhuuuuuuuuu.
Rafa got beaten before he got injured - in fact the puzzlement the injury caused Stan earned Rafa a set.
Djoko played easy breazy less than sixty minutes on Saturday. Stan played in the heat on Friday (would Djoko have survived the heat vs. Murray? Perhaps not).
Djoko's QF wasn't any tougher than Wawa's in terms of how the matches went.
And up until the QF, Wawa had the toughest draw of any top-8 seed as was demonstrated during the FO.

Try harder.
And try not being a bitter person (I know that's like asking for a pig to fly, but still)

And what exactly was wrong w/ Djokovic at AO 2014? Everyone remembers the final with Nadal and forgets that Stan also took out in-form Nole in the semis.

Stan's played some great big-match tennis these past few years . . .

Excusiquem will never be cured of her chronic need to belittle either of the SwissGuard. I'm trying to remember her whines after the DC final...probably something about their surface selection or the crowd being pro-Swiss despite being held in Lille.

Iirc, the main problem was the Fed was not in a wheel chair five days after the WTF-final he didn't play and actually managed to win a singles match 7 days after that. That did her in for the rest of the year ;-)

Can you imagine her state of mind if Nadal falls early at Wimbledon again AND Djokovic loses to somebody like Murray or Wawrinka or worse Federer?

Straitjacket time. :)

I cannot imagine no. But I can assure you Excusiquem will make a reappearance. That's like clockwork. ;-)

Novak in the QF, Birdman in the semis iirc.

So where is Stan ?

It's amazing. Every loss of Nadal was 'excused' away, and now all of Nole's losses too ?

Excited about the draw. Will excusiquem make a reappearance?
We shall see - long live the Stanimal, half man, half animal -> pure beast!

You all seem to be forgetting 60s Weed and how it went out of control creating nonsensical threads. Finally, it had to be locked in the cellar for a week.:D

With the egg man out and the nefarious walking MTO looking more vulnerable than ever, Iron Stan has a chance to get hot and deliver.

Let's see if the mood strikes.

He also beat Fed here in the final recently?

Signs are there that Da Stanimal is back in Da House. Of course, it could disappear again at any moment, but that's part of the attraction. :)

The Shankimal shall return to glory. No question.
And no shame in losing to the greatest clay courter of all time today.

Lol. Almost. ;)
I guess Stan can't be bothered to show up these days unless he has to embarrass a goat runner up in a final. Or an actual goat.

Now that Djokovic fumbled the whole draw, maybe the nefarious walking MTO will stop crying and staring at his shoes long enough to give us a good show.
