Matrix 4 with both Keanu Reeves and Moss will start filming in 2020.

I like the inclusion of Agassi's head on random monitors. LoL.

The Wachovsky Brothers had their genitals intact when they directed the original movie, but nowadays they are The Wachovsky Sisters. This thing is going direct to Lifetime, mark my words.

Read an article earlier speculating.

Will Neo be the villain?
Was Neo always the villain?
Will Morpheus be the villain?
Will Neo fight Neo?
Will Trinity revive Neo
Who revives Trinity?
etc
etc

The big question.

Will Neo and Trinity chemistry level drop even further this time, leaving it at -9000?

She died like right towards the end of Matrix Revolutions, and then Neo defeated Agent Smith by allowing him to "convert" him into the many Agent Smiths, but it didn't work out as he had hoped. And Neo negotiated a peace between the machine on the surface and the humans living underground.

No, no, no, nothing about this adds up at all.

It was a quite beautiful cinematic death with Trinity getting to see the lights.

I'm not really concerned about making sense at the minute. Just hyped for this. :p

She still looks good to me and she is like 55 now. She has aged like a classy red wine.

I agree, but if you compare M1 and M2, you would see that she had visibly and drastically aged. Perhaps she went through a real stressful period of time and then subsequently recovered.

I did not watch the second one when it came out, and when I only rewatched it once, and I really can not remember well.

It is hard to beat the first one but I am hopeful. All the amazing and "whoa" moment were used in the first one.
That's why it is so difficult to impress audience who already saw the first one.
I like the concept of the first film, but even it falls flat for me when it becomes action movie once the essence of the story is spent. Sequels are meh (2) and bad (3). I see Matrix 4 as just another reboot for $$$. It's all idea-less Hollywood does these days.

New terminator in nov looks like another garbage sequel as does Star Wars

I would think new matrix will stink

I really liked alien covenant !!! By far the best alien movie since the first 2

Hope it is good. Original stories are hard to sell these days. It's either reboot or sequel. As long as they give a good story, I am fine with it. If the movie is bad, just forget about the new movie they made instead of saying they ruined the franchise.

It was super flawed but the alien sequences and action were top notch and the actor playing both droids was the best performance

I loved Prometheus. It had some of that original Alien atmosphere and I like how slow it was. Don't mind 3/4 either and frankly Aliens is far from perfect with the kid shtick and marines. Covenant is definitely the worst of all for me.

Prometheus felt much better on a second viewing. Covenant is pure trash. I wasn't able to finish it. It was so bad.

I enjoyed covenant !!!

David / waiter scenes and philosophical themes of Gods and creation
The movie had the most gore of any

Alien was the best we agree
They should redo alien with both the theater cut and directors cut with new cgi is some shots like the ending scene

They won’t make a final prequel ...very sad

I wanted to see more David

I love how Covenant starts, with a conversation between David and his creator, but then it abruptly jumps into tragedy on a spaceship, without even establishing characters. As a result, I can't care for such characters. They're just tacked on as cannon fodder. "Ripley II" was really bad casting choice, it felt almost like she's some producer's niece. The rest of the cast was just forgettable. I literally can't remember one face except the fat guy with a cowboy hat.

Fassbender is a good actor but having good and bad android is like they just slapped android characters from first 2 movies into one. "Remember androids? Here they are! Together!" There were plenty of other rehashed moments, mostly from Aliens. Like that fight on a platform with a crane digger and alien was a rehash of loader suit fight from Aliens. It's just pampering to nostalgia covering for the lack of script.

Also, I find amount of gore redundant. There's hardly any mystery or anticipation left. All attacks are phoned in. It's like Ridley Scott channeled his inner Michael Bay after getting criticized for Prometheus, which was almost void of action.

How dare you insult convent !!!

Your taste in movies makes me want to jump out of my train window. Now go and make me a cup of good tea. No sugar or milk. Or else I will fire you for not doing your job properly.

This is the only time I will ever be excited for a reboot.

Obviously the first movie is a classic. But I find Reloaded was a very underrated movie IMO that had some really interesting discussions mixed with some of the best action scenes ever made (and action is my least favorite type of movie). It’s a definite frequent rewatch for me.

Unfortunately Revolutions was a major letdown (which I attribute to the Wachowski’s trying to write and film them back to back, a mistake). The final Smith-Neo battle was good but didn’t really justify the two hour slog that it took to get there, and the conclusion has correctly been criticized.

THAT is why even though I normally HATE reboots I have always wanted another Matrix movie, now they have a chance to redeem themselves. And even more importantly instead of some lame Michael B. Jordan thing we’re getting the REAL deal with Keanu (perfect timing too with his career having reached another peak) and CAM.

The only things that make me nervous is that the Wachowski’s aren’t sharing the writing duties, I’m hoping this writer they hired has a good understanding of the series and what it is really about. The other concern is being the Wachowski’s are seriously far left figures I really hope they don’t go full SJW for this and try to make the film all about being “woke”. Time will tell.

I'm scared. Matrix 2 and 3 are terrible movies, actually, 2 is sub-par with a few good moments, but 3 is terrible. I don't know what to expect from this reboot. And no Laurence Fishbourne? So no Morpheus? Then this is nonsensical.
