May Prince shoes continue to rock

they have had some great ones they past few years. Prices are a bit high right now but the last three I had each were great for over 4 months of hard playing. My friend switched from Nikes and he said he is never going back. I just don't want Prince to start raising prices and making shoes that don't last as long.

I think Prince has made the best tennis specific shoes on the market for at least the past 15 years. You really can't ask for any better cushioning and support for playing tennis.

I also like Prince tennis shoes, right now I am using the Rebels and they are indeed awesome shoes, however I have only wore them for a month an a half and I al ready lost most of the outsole edges and in some spots you can see the plastic support or the innersole. So on these ones the durability is not what you would expect, they do have a 6 month warranty though.

primce T-22 is the most cushioned/pillowy shoe I have ever worn. Thinking of picking up the new blk/green/white colorway they jst released:twisted:

^^^give them a try. They are definitely roomy in the toe box. My dad and stepmom both have very wide feet and wear them.

Yup, that was my first pair of Prince shoes, too, from the mid-90's. I couldn't believe how comfortable a pair of tennis shoes could be until I put those AeroTypes on my feet. :)

I went to them after burning through a couple pairs of Adidas (ATP tour I think the shoe was called...it was mid 90's...before I starting paying as much attention to product). I was sad when they stopped making them. I switched to the Viper, but didn't like them as much.

I'm wearing the Rebel (yellow/black) since November the 17 TH. These are my first Prince shoes ever. The main problem with them is durability, so if you are a toe dragger, avoid these. The other issue I had was the insole which was too thin. My feet were in pain after playing two + plus hours. I had to replace the insole for a more cushioning insole from Sofsole called "Athlete". Now, that my pain is gone, I'm enjoying these shoes.

I'm wearing the Prince T8 and they have been just fine. An adjustment from my last Prince pair because they are a tad heavier but just really well designed.

After the AeroTypes, I wore the NFS Precisions. That was also an extremely comfortable and cushioned shoe with good ankle support. :)

I enjoy the T-22s, but I wish they had a different tread that works better on clay courts. I would rate them as one of the best hard court shoes out there.

I thought of trying out the Rebels that feature a herringbone tread... Can anyone compare them to Gel Resolution 2s? Thx!

What about them on clay bothers you the most? What shoe do you prefer on clay?

I don't like the tread pattern on the t22s because I prefer a deeper and condensed herringbone-type pattern. Surprisingly, I like the ASICs Gel Res 2 because of the deep cuts in the tread and the pattern worked well too. My second favorite shoe for clay was the Wilson Tour Vision, a basic herringbone pattern.

I felt I slipped more with the T-22s on clay.

I play 50% of the time on clay and have no issue at all with my T-22s.

Scotus - you should try them on - I used to wear NB 2E's and the T-22 fit me better

I have T22's and like them alot. Only problem i had,...i tend to pull laces REALLY tight,....and retighten during a match,...well middle eyelets started to rip out,...so put little metal eyelets in the holes,..and it was all fixed.
Otherwise i love 'em.
