Medvedev, Alcaraz, Djokovic - What is the pecking order between these three on HC?

Who is 1, who is 2 and who is 3 in your eyes as it stands. And what are you reasons for it?

Djokovic with titles in Tel Aviv, Astana, YEC, Adelaide, AO. A final in Paris. 20 match winning streak. Two wins over Medvedev during this last HC season.

Medvedev with titles in Rotterdam, Doha, Dubai. A final in IW. 19 match winning streak. A win over Djokovic in Dubai. A possible first title in Miami.

Alcaraz with titles at USO and IW. 10 match winning streak, including 20 straight sets won. Defeated and ended Medvedev's winning streak in IW final.

All three have shown very high levels of play and have had dominant runs to the title. How do you see it?

For now, Novak, Alcaraz, Med, but small margins.

Coming in holding AO and YEC titles (and not even looking at career accomplishments) still puts Novak as clear first.

If Med wins tomorrow, that would, in my eyes, put him about even with Alcaraz, although Carlos is holding the USO.

Let’s take an objective look:

From ATP Leaderboard Stats:
Hardcourt 52-Week Serve Rating & Return Rating

Serve Rating:

Djok 301.1 (Rank #3)

Med 285.0 (Rank #14)

Carlos 283.5 (Rank #18)

Med 166.4 (Rank #1)

Djok 159.1 (Rank #4)

Carl 154.5 (Rank #8)

Overall mean avg:

1. Djok 230.1 (avg rank 3.5)

2. Med 225.7 (avg rank 7.5)

3. Carl 219.0 (avg rank 14)

I expect these rankings could tighten by year end.

Sinner > Alcaraz
But Alcaraz > Medvedev
But Medvedev > Djokovic
But Djokovic > Nadal
But Nadal > Medvedev
But Tiafoe & McDonald > Nadal

??? Not sure. For now, gonna go with the guy who has won the last two big titles on HC in Djokovic.

The boring but truthful answer is that it depends on the court.
Both slam are being played on fast court right now( AO ball this year made it slow little bit) so what will be your slam ranking on this case

The tournaments are 5 and 9 months away, so it's hard to say since a lot can change. If they were played today I'd still have to put Djokovic as the favorite at both. Then Alcaraz, then Medvedev.

But as we know with Djokovic, depending on how the rest of his season goes he could easily be last for the USO as his 36 year old body could be more worn down.

Medvedev in theory should be ahead of Alcaraz in Australia based on making back-to-back finals in 21-22, he clearly has a comfort on that court. But he put in such a clunker this year that it's hard to say. If Alcaraz had been in the draw this year it's almost impossible to see him losing in 3rd round like Daniil did.

This is a really interesting question since Dubai and IW. I’m going to go Djoker as clear number 1 because his run of form is longest, most emphatic and involved beating the most top players. Even though Meddy got the W in Dubai I still think their matches are a toss up in Bo3 and have a clear lean to Djoker in slams.
Then it’s kinda tied between the other 2. I have Alcaraz clearly ahead in the matchup and don’t think IW was an anomaly at all, even with Meddy playing poorly. But Meddy has won so much overall on the other hand.

IW was an anomaly as the courts are too slow for Med. He did exceptionally well to make it to the final.

Fast hard courts - Djoko > Medvedev=Alcaraz
Slow hard courts - Djokovic=Alcaraz > Medvedev

Who knows as we don’t have enough head-head matches after Alcaraz reached his current level to really judge this. Hopefully we will get more direct contests by the end of the year. I am biased though as I don’t like Medvedev at all and like the game of the other two guys much better.

When you account for indoor hardcourts, it's Djokovic > Medvedev > Alcaraz.

I expect Alcaraz to be higher by end of year though.

,Novak, with a slam and WTF wins alone, tops Medvedev. So does Alcaraz USO and IW titles as well as last year's Miami title.

But I think OP is not asking about accomplishments?

I think he’s just asking who’s better right now?
