You have rightWould be tough living up to all that pressure at such a young age!
Remind Me! in 10 years.
Looool amazing how much truth there may well be to this. I think if someone truly special comes along though that it should be possible to break through quite early? Serena is old, tour isn't that great etc.
Seriously I'm tired of all these 'prodigy' videos.
this so much. The only time I see these spotlights being useful if the player is having major financial issues and needs it so sponsors can take an interest. Can we stop giving these great talented players spotlights at an early age? Look what happened to Gabriella Price and Maria Shishkina. It got to their heads and their families heads, now they're both using the "prodigy" tag in everything they do.
If she's accomplished in 10 years, then yes she definitely worked hard and it payed off. For now, let her play tennis and hopefully enjoy it, and maybe she'll grow successful.
An American that won the junior French Open
Now that is something
I played against her dad in college. He was/is quite the player.

I like what I am seeing from this young talent so far tonight. I think she has a bright future ahead of her.
What's so funny? She's a 16 year old had and set points against the #23 ranked player in the world. You can laugh when your future looks that bright.
Oh, you you just wanted to be Captain Obvious, because I swear I read "she has a bright future in front of her". Didn't realise that it is a metaphor for her current results.
As for a comparison with me, let's just say that she has a long road of struggles in front of her.
What the hell are you talking about? I realize that you have no life and troll TTW on a daily basis looking anyone who will engage in an argument with you, but even this is a new low for you. Not interested.
Is this a popular American name?
Hingis won 3 slams and almost won all 4 as a 16-year-old. Amazing how much expectations have plummeted for up-and-comers since then.
Bencic is the student of Martina Hingis’s mom!Never seen her before, and she has a very fluid and natural looking game which is pleasing on the eye from the little I see. I'm not even going to try and guess about the future of women's tennis, however (lol).
My last big pick was Bencic (from years back). It's not yet come to pass.
Who knows more about Whitney?
***
Nice feature - interest slightly piqued.
Richard Williams never let Venus nor Serena play in the Juniors! After the Williams sisters, it might well be the Whitney sisters! W for Wictory!.. Er, probably W for two V's, so that's double victory. Whatever, W seems to be working good for the women tennis.. Y'know, WTA, Williams, Wozniacki, Whitney... The force is with this one!
Thats a bit of a myth.....actually they were a combined 103-7 in juniors before Richard pulled them.
She already turn pro!she lost to Collins pretty bad. that tells me she should go to college and dont' go pro til 22 years of age
Curse of the money hungry tennis parent. I feel bad for herShe already turn pro!
