That is Wentworth Miller. Otherwise known as Michael Scofield from Prison break. The actual quote is more like, ''If we lose hope we lose everything.'' I still have hope.

He should not take part as it is clearly pointless. He's obviously still in pain and can't move the way he used to do. What possible chance does he have against an in-form player like RBA who just beat Djokovic for the Doha title? It will just be another humiliating beatdown!

As I said in the AO thread, I have finally accepted that he is done although it kills me to say it. I think he knows this himself but is just being too stubborn to admit it. I now fully expect a retirement statement from him very soon.

Andy's career-killing hip injury has been by far the worst thing to happen since I first joined this forum back in 2011. I still cannot believe that this has happened and I'm having to post about him like this. If anyone had predicted this 2 years ago I would have laughed them to scorn. If only, if only...........!!!

If he's still in pain/uncomfortable then like Mainad said it's pointless to play the tournament. Playing against RBA is not gonna help either. I don't think that if he plays he'll get humiliated by that guy, but he definitely doesn't have a chance at all with his hip still being a problem.

That really sucks. After 2016 I was hoping to see him at his best at least 2 more years. Not only he wasn't at his best, he got a terrible injury that might end his career at 32 years old.

Could that be why he didn't get a different clothing deal? He got multi year offers and didn't know if he'd play that long?

Looking back, his playstyle over the bulk of his career has been incredibly punishing on the body. He's not naturally atheletic like Nole, and there's a bit less less economy in his gamestyle imo

That would of course be the ideal place to do it if he can last out that long and it may be that he should do like Ferrer is doing and just play a limited schedule until then and avoid any best of 5 events!

I have never been a fan of the “Doubting Thomas” designation.
